Well then, I'm typing this before I read this story, and as one who read the Silmarillion, this confuses me. I mean, all dragons were descended from Melkor, Sauron's boss. How they were actually created is not actually known, but regardless, anything created by Melkor isn't high up on the 'friendship and rainbow' scale.
Then again, this is fanfiction involving ponehs, so disregard my previous statement.
My first comment upon seeing you ship Smaug x Celestia? "Wat"

And yet, now here I am eagerly awaiting more.

Oooh, now this could get good. We always needed more Middle-earth crossovers in this fandom. Question though, oh good honourable author sir, how close will you be following Tolkien-canon with this? 4868555 I'm going to be honest, most of my info is based on the movies and smidgens I've heard from fans of the books. Not that I've not read the Hobbit (did as a kid) but that was a long time ago, so my memory of it is hazy at best.
I'll be looking through some other sites to get some more info, but since this story pretty much is about Smaug, I don't think I need to get all lore frenzy. (Unless Sauron pops in of course.)

I'd be happy to provide some background lore info where I'm capable. I'm not a tolkien expert by any means, but I do pride myself on having read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion. Not that I'm trying to meddle with your writing, as I said, I'll happily knock out my lore-nut while reading this because any story about a pairing with Smaug is too good to pass up.
