It's a crossover with the anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The character 'Kyuubey' is from that series, and currently Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are in Kyuubey's world of Magical Girls and Witches.

Sif von Bifrost (Rainbow Dash); Ceres (Fluttershy); Brunhilde (Applejack); Diamanta (Rarity); and Nut (Pinkie).
(Nut is the name of the Egyptian Sky Goddess, if you're curious to why I chose that as Pinkie's possible Witch name.)

Sif von Bifrost: Sif is the name of a warrior goddess in Norse Mythology, and the Bifrost is the Rainbow Bridge connecting the Nine Realms of Norse Mythology.
Ceres is the roman name of Demeter, who's the the Greek goddess of Nature.
Brunhilde is the name of a Valkyrie. Valkyries are fierce warrior women that protect the realm of Valhalla (the Norse Heaven) and guide fallen soldiers there.
Dimanta is a bastardization of the name "Diamanda". This is the German word for "Diamond", diamant, with an a tacked on the end.
(I am considering extending her name to Diamanta Amaterasu to help tie her in with the mythology theme I have going, with the latter part of her name being the name of the Japanese Sun Goddess, but I'm not sure how well that would work.)

Well, I just finished Madoka a few days ago, and I'm excited for this. Good start, hopefully the quality gets better from here.
Still going pretty well, although you probably used "Rose eyes" a few too many times. Just using eyes, or Rainbow's eyes would have made it flow better. The story so far also seemed to focus on Fluttershy, so shifting to what Rainbow thoughts on Kyubee was a bit jarring.
Still looking good. I wonder what Flutters wished for. Hopefully not something lame like"The power to protect her friend". I mean, that's gonna happen anyways.
Things are picking up. I was wondering when in the series this took place. It sounds like it runs parallel to the first episode. The only continuity error I see is that Charlotte had already awoken by the time Dash and Flutters ended up on Earth, whereas she was still inactive in the series. Wonder how this'll change things down the line.
Anyways, keep up the good work!
Another good chapter. I suppose if anyone was going to get the life saving wish, it would be Applejack. If she knew what she was getting into, she would reject it, considering she has a family and farm to care for.
The story is great so far! Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer for an update. Keep up the good work!

-sigh- Almost a whole year, shamefully.
I've really enjoyed this story so far, especially with how there's a good amount of fun going on (RD pranking Homura, RD and FS learning to walk again) to balance out all the heavier parts. One quick suggestion I'd make is to have separate paragraphs for when different people speak - there were a couple of times I got confused about who was saying what when two people were speaking in the same paragraph. Looking forward to more!

I like it so far. I'm guessing at some point we'll see Rarity and Kyoko's first meeting. Or at the very least, they'll explain it later. I'm just wondering why Rarity didn't recognize Rainbow. Or if she did, she didn't acknowledge her.

EDIT: I'm also wondering why Kyoko is in town in the first place. In the Anime, she arrived to take Mami's territory after she died. Since they're working in shifts, that means Mami shouldn't be dead yet.
