I went into this fully prepared to rip someone a new one for a story with a terrible Mary Sue protagonist who becomes a terrible seventh element of harmony.
I... I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't hate Cody, I actually felt bad for him when reading this. He doesn't seem to be a Gary Stu, though he might become one later if you take this story in the way it seems you will. I just hope you don't drag his sorrow into weepyness, because for now it still seems realistic. I wonder what Luna will find in (what I'm assuming to be) his nightmare...
All in all, this is a nice prologue. Please continue.
