Fluttershy quietly neighed as they swept a beam over her body. She couldn’t understand what they were saying, but the bright part of it is that they couldn’t understand her either. These were the bug like beings in Bonnie’s dream, only they weren’t dead and in a pile of bodies. Poor Bonnie, that must have been terribly upsetting to wake up to and Fluttershy wouldn’t know how to feel about it if it happened to her personally.

-

“Well, they appear to be scanning you for any electrical devices. It’s a good thing they don’t actually know about magic or else you would never have been able to get away with putting the Memory Stone back in your ear.” Twilight was watching the screen Discord put up, the alien bug things seem to confer with one another and they nodded before they continued moving forward with Fluttershy. Watching on as Fluttershy was being carried to what looked to be an operating table in the middle of a vast open room, one that hadn’t apparently been cleaned in its existence. Given that most of the surface was stained with blood, Twilight could only hope Bonnie was right about Zurg starting slow and taking a few days to actually ramp up the torture. “She said that it may take a few hours before she can actually rescue her brother. I know you’re frightened Fluttershy, but you have friends who will come to your rescue even if Bonnie doesn’t give the signal. Whatever he does to you, just know that we’re all here for you until the end.”

-

A ring of hornets stood around the room pointing all of their weapons inwards at the table. When she was forced onto the table, Fluttershy didn’t struggle as they forced her on to her back and started wrapping straps around her legs and wings. After they finished binding her to the table, the bindings grew taut and gave Fluttershy little ability or room to move. She tested the straps and whimpered as the bat wing was squeezed painfully, she wasn’t about to try and escape with so many hornets pointing their weapons at her.

Evil Emperor Zurg appeared in the window of an overlooking structure high above her; he was looking down at her with an amount of contempt on his frowning masked face and said something sinister sounding. It was probably an even thing on whether or not it was a good thing she couldn’t understand a word he said. On the one hoof she couldn’t understand his threats or what was coming, on the other she couldn’t prepared her body for what was coming and he may get very upset with her for not reacting to whatever it was he was going on about. She didn’t know whether Bonnie had been caught, killed or if she had managed to evade the hornets and all she had to go on was the rather sour tone in Zurg’s voice.

When Zurg gave off a delighted evil chuckle and changed to a more devilish tone, a cylindrical machine could be seen lowering from the ceiling above the pony. Whatever it was, it was bound to be painful, so Fluttershy swallowed as the thing started charging up. The end of the cylinder had a fork with two prongs and the glow of energy running between them; it was unmistakable what Zurg had in mind for torturing her with first.

The world exploded into a symphony of pain for Fluttershy when the fork shot out to lightly stab her in the chest. Her shriek was a mixture of what a horse and a bat would sound like in extreme duress, her voice was so horrific that all the bugs in the room with Zurg covered their antenna as the glass cracked, Zurg’s mask seemingly changed to a smile.

The only reason why Fluttershy was still screaming was because of the shock of being jabbed with something covered in a low enough voltage to not have nearly as much as an effect her on her as her scream would make it out to be. She was trying very hard to pretend to be convulsing in more agony than she really was, it was fortunate that Zurg had no inkling as to how her biology worked. The most painful thing from all this was having two blunt prongs jammed into her chest. Sure the electricity still hurt, but it wasn’t hitting mind rending levels yet.

A pegasus was quite resilient to all forms of weather, including lighting. Even the weakest pegasus could survive a lightning strike with little more than bad cough and the inability to fly for a while. A good example of this was Derpy, she wasn’t a weather pony and she’s been struck by lightning at least sixteen times. Unicorns never went out in a lightning storm because their horns tended to magically attract lightning strikes, they are the most likely of ponies to be hit with lightning if a pegasus wasn’t around and it would actually hurt them more than it would hitting a earth pony. This was a bit more painful for Fluttershy than it normally would be for an average Pegasus, mostly because of her partially mutated form.

Zurg’s mask seemed to frown and then hit something on the console and the electricity flowing through the fork jabbed into Fluttershy’s chest increased its glow and intensity. He would continue turn it up slowly over time.

Fluttershy convulsed violently against the straps, she was almost wrenching her legs out of their socket. If she didn’t know any better, she’d swear she wasn’t gagged on purpose because they wanted her to hurt herself by either biting through her tongue or clenching her teeth too hard. Instead she kept her mouth open and let out wails of pain as she continued to take it.

Fluttershy had always had love, but she also had an extreme level of tolerance for almost anything including pain. It let her know she was still alive and not becoming numb to everything.

-

This went on for a while, before it stopped and Fluttershy was panting when it was all over. She didn’t know how long she had been strapped down or electrocuted for, she just knew she survived it. Looking around, she wondered what would come next and what the worse they could possibly do to her. A door opened at the side of the room and in rolled what looked like a brain in a jar connected to a robot suit. It just looked at her in surprise to see that she was still conscious; she whinnied weakly in slight fear of the thing.

The mechanical hands moved over her body and started checking her, she tried not to giggle as they tickled and she was trying to resist showing any signs of discomfort. She had to give Bonnie time and keep them distracted. Zurg’s voice sounded off again and the brain looked up at him and the mechanical hands of his suit came together and then pulled apart as if expressing his thoughts on Fluttershy, the fact that he had a normal sounding voice was a bit of a surprise to Fluttershy.

A long spindly mechanical arm ending in a needle came down from the ceiling, as the prongs of the electrifying fork was roughly pulled from her chest it returned to the ceiling.

Fluttershy watched as the brain pulled out various chemical compounds and he put them into the thing connected to the needle before turning to bow to Zurg. Zurg lifted his left hand and he dropped a single finger on a button and the injector rammed its way into Fluttershy’s neck.

It took it a moment for Fluttershy to understand what kind of substance they injected her with, because it took a while for it to really get started. Her veins were filled with fire and she started screaming so loudly that the present brains glass casing started to slowly shatter and spew liquids; this caused him to evacuate the room as quickly as he could much to Zurg’s amused chuckles. The glass to the observation room above her completely shattered, thankfully only a small portion of it landed on her.

After a certain point Fluttershy could hear her pitch exiting a range where it couldn’t be heard, even by her mutated sense of hearing. The results of her screams were quite visible when two of the nearest hornets short circuited and blew up. The hornets could detect how powerful Fluttershy’s agonized scream were becoming with their sensors and pressed against the walls to avoid the fate of the other two hornets that were destroyed.

She spent quite a while screaming her throat raw like this. Thankfully it was not as bad as some of the times stuff like this happened when she was still in Equestria and she knew her friends were fully with her right now.

-

“If only I could get my hooves on those jerks, I’d give them what for!” A lot of ponies agreed with Applejack. None of them wanted to know what Fluttershy was just injected with; though they obviously knew it hurt like hell given her screeching became impossible to hear.

“Hey guys, this is nothing. You should have seen the entire month Fluttershy went around with platypus venom in her. She almost got away with that one without any pony knowing.” A lot of incredulous stares were directed at Rainbow Dash. Platypus venom wasn’t incredibly lethal, just extremely painful. “She’s likely had worse than whatever they just put in her.”

“Why do you say that Dashie, also what month did this happen and what’s platypus venom like?” Of course Pinkie’s mane went flat, as she was rightfully horrified that something worse than this has happened to Fluttershy.

“You don’t want to know what platypus venom is like, I’ve had it described to me and that stuff isn’t pleasant for any pony. Its better off that you don’t know, besides Fluttershy has been poisoned by a lot of animals and she never really bothers to tell us about it when it happens. I still wonder to this day about how in the world Fluttershy managed to stay perfectly calm about it. I was in the right place at the right time to witness her scolding the Platypus who filled a little toy pool for little fillies with its own tears.” Rainbow put a hoof up to her chin and took on a thoughtful look. “I can at least tell you the first thing she did when that stuff finally wore off, I made a Pinkie Promise to not mention exactly when that happened. So let me just say that she gave you a real big hug around the time it wore off. ”

“Wait… so you’re telling me that Flutteshy could have been lethally poisoned multiple times and she never told anyone!” There was a sharp and completely frightened tone in Twilight’s voice; she obviously did not like hearing that her friend didn’t tell them about these kinds of things.

“But Fluttershy gives me big hugs all the time! Oh my goodness, she’s turned into a platypus, it all makes sense now!” Pinkie’s mane inflated and she smacked her left hoof into the other.

“I don’t believe you have the right train of thought there darling, wouldn’t it impossible for her to be a male platypus?” Rarity had her eyes glued to the projection Discord was showing them and she wasn’t about to look away even if the table and decor was gruesome to look at.

“Oh no, so your saying my mind has gotten on the wrong train and now I’ve lost it!” Just about every pony who heard Pinkie, including Fluttershy, lost it at the irony of her statement.

-

Zurg looked positively furious when Fluttershy started laughing uproariously as if the poison filtering throughout her body was nothing she couldn’t handle. In fact, in his anger he was clenching the control panel with his hands so hard he left divots in the metal that it was made of.

Despite the pain she was in, Fluttershy thought that laughing through the pain made it so much easier. Only every pony now knew her secret about having been poisoned multiple times and she really didn’t like the idea that they’d all look at her differently because of it. Oh they were going to be so upset about her not telling them about all the times her animal friends had accidentally poisoned her. It wasn’t their fault and her pony friends weren’t going to hurt her animal friends over something as simple as an accident. Besides they didn’t know which of her many animal friends back home had poisoned her, so they can’t really do anything about it if she doesn’t tell them.

It had to of been more than an hour at least since she was strapped down and Fluttershy was nearly done working through all the pain and was sweating fiercely. She looked up at Zurg with a flat stare; he just looked back with an astonished look on his face. After a moment he started ranting and raving at his bug and brain minions while gesticulating towards Fluttershy wildly. Then he said the only word that was understood by Fluttershy and almost everyone else in the universe at the end of a chain of what sounded like curse words.

-

“Whoa, I didn’t recognize it until he said that word, but how long have we been watching them tort…” Rainbow’s mouth was grabbed and yanked away by Discord.

“Yes, yes, the place with the waffles and chocolate. Anyway, we’ve been watching Fluttershy in pain for the last three hours. Quite frankly it got stale after the first two seconds, just be glad I’m filtering out what the fillies, colts and foals are hearing and seeing.” A side glance to the fillies watching the screens made Rainbow less angry, after a moment Discord snapped his fingers and appeared in a dapper suit in front of the ponies. “Why even I would never say such a horrible word such as that, we all know it begins with a B and ends with something that rhymes with ‘belch them’.”

“Belch them’? Really Discord, that’s what you’re going with to try and get someone to say that word?” Chiding the chaos lord over his playfulness was getting easier and easier to do the more time Twilight came to understand him and chaos itself; it was something Twilight wished she wasn’t learning. “Look, can we all just get back to what’s happening with Fluttershy and talk about this later?”

-

Fluttershy glared at Zurg so hard he freaked out and back away out of sight, he was acting like thoroughly a scolded puppy and looked to have had his soul fried and served up on a silver platter. His minions looked on in shock at seeing someone so scary and powerful brought so low, he cowered in the corner no longer finding the torture of his new prisoner any fun at the moment. Of the words Fluttershy didn’t like, that was at the top of the list given the level of vulgarity that the word represented. The fact that she still understood it meant that it had naturally passed into her language barrier much to her consternation as to how it did that without a translator.

It was a while later that the pony just sat there waiting for the next torture they’d bring on her; she had mostly recovered from the trauma of the injection. So far it didn’t seem she was permanently hurt in any manner, but she was definitely emotionally and mentally scarred again. It would all just become a blurred memory soon enough, she may need therapy after this.

Fluttershy hadn’t exactly meant to use her stare, but she had at least freaked out Zurg so badly with ‘The Stare’ that he had stopped torturing her. What he hadn’t done was immediately set her free and the hornets were slightly more alert than ever before. She didn’t like the idea of someone who was evil being this scared of her. It seemed wrong somehow, but what was she to do, she was still strapped down and quite sore.

It took a while but eventually one of the grubs came back and then started something new, water started dripping from the ceiling and started to strike her body one drop at a time. What kind of torture was this? It didn’t seem like much to her.

-

“What kind of pain could that cause, weren’t the other two things much worse?” Wondered a curious muffin eating mare named Derpy Hooves, who nibbled at the fluffy baked goodness as she watched this.

“I believe it is psychological this time instead of physical, not being able to rest at all and constantly being distracted by the dripping of water.” At Discords words, all the adult ponies agreed. The fillies and colts had gotten bored with watching the cartoons Discord put on for them. “Now that’s rather clever, then again she was always resourceful.”

-

Fluttershy had a small cloud sitting on her belly and a small tube shaped portion of it extended towards her mouth. The water trickled out of the cloud straw when she tilted the cloud on her belly by exhaling. She was feeling much better since she had something to drink; the hornets had no idea what to do about the cloud that had formed and the prisoner wasn’t technically trying to escape or exactly moving from her spot of being strapped to the unhygienic table. As she had told Bonnie, she had a high pain tolerance and nothing hurt worse for her than seeing an animal or friend being hurt pointlessly.

A pegasus didn’t necessarily need their hooves to manipulate the weather, though a lot more concentration was needed to do something like this and Fluttershy had nothing better to do with the water that slowly dripping down onto her body. She didn’t have the ability to create a lightning cloud as that was something that actually did require her hooves; otherwise she would have done something to free herself using that. She didn’t feel too particularly keen on committing violence towards the robots that were just doing their jobs of watching her.

The brain pod came back in with a repaired glass tank and just balked at the sight of Fluttershy sipping water from the cloud every once in a while, they have had her about for five hours and for the life of him he did not quite understand how her biology worked. No being should be able to easily resist all the way up to eleven when being shock tortured, then there was the fact that the toxic concoction he injected into her wore off when it was supposed to last for days. Sure she was hurting, but she wasn’t anywhere close to broken as Zurg wanted her to be.

The brain pod would have sworn that she was some sort of god like entity by the way she seemed to be fine after the first two things they put her through. The fact that she had frightened their Evil Emperor so badly that he ran out of the room screaming like a little girl with a simple look had him personally spooked; even then the emperor still had the wherewithal to order them to continue torturing her.

The brain didn’t think he could put her through a fourth round of torture, her tolerance for pain was much higher than any previous being they’ve had. This was the very chamber they operated on Torque without any anesthetic to give him the ability to clone himself. It stood to reason that she had been through something far more traumatic than what they had already done to her; either that or her biology was really that tough naturally. The brain highly doubted something so cute and fluffy could have been this naturally resistant to pain or suffering.

Taking a scan of her body, the one of many naturally occurring brain creatures noted the oddities that went on around her form. Apparently she was under some form of strange mutation outside the norm for her species, the odd weather based phenomenon on her belly was being actively controlled by her and she wasn’t any more physically resilient than a normal Grub born on this world was. This was an oddity to be studied; there was much about her that could be learned.

He was about to activate the next torture device, but then the brain in the pod paused and looked at her big soulful eyes. He just couldn’t do it with her looking at him like that. Though he wasn’t about to go against his orders as he was too afraid to, he could however delay his actions. He would just wait until whatever that Bonnie had planned came to fruition and he might even free her in the ensuing chaos to say that she got out of it on her own.

“Thank you for not hurting me.” Fluttershy said in a quiet voice, hoping that at least her emotions carried to the brain thing. Not all the people here were bad.

The brain pod stopped and looked back at her before continuing on his way with a small seed of rebellion planted in his mind.

-

Speaking of Bonnie, not a single hornet had seen her after three minute and thirty seconds had passed of her free reign time. She was small, bright green and against the dreary backdrop of Zurg’s evil empire she should have stuck out like a sore thumb. Instead she went to ground so well that Zurg was having a problem finding out where she was, her brother was missing from his cell which meant that she had succeeded in getting him out somehow despite his size and general weight.

Zurg had forgotten that she was also cunning, stealthy and unlike him Bonnie actually had friends. Thus she was viciously preparing for her revenge against the evil emperor before giving the signal.

After what became of her brother, Bonnie was furious and it had taken her an hour and ten minutes of careful navigation to reach him. She spent the next ten minutes pleading with him to not force her to do what he asked of her, then she caved in and now Bonnie was definitely out for blood and her eyes were an eerie red color instead of their normal solid blue.

Nobody messed with Bonnie Jookiba’s Ohana and got away with it unscathed, she had personally taken the last few hours to hack through Zurg’s information network, communications and had access to the functions to most of the factories on this planet.

Bonnie was going to bring this whole world down around her!

Author's Note:

Bonnie's definitely cheesed off.
