Turns out, that there are more ponies beyond her friends that regret the destruction of her dear library.

Jeez..... I'm honestly wanting to know who sent it. CONTINUE THIS STORY!

I expected the letter to have been written by Trixie

I loved this story! It always felt heart touching, not to mention I do feel VERY sympathetic for Twilight, since my house actually did burn down like 5 years ago, but 'tis is well now.

I wouldn't mind a second chapter/ epilogue which wrapped up anything and/ or showed us who wrote the letter. I have half a mind to think it's Discord, but it's probably not him, since he would also be writing sorry in there.

Neither anything!!

You shouldn't use more than one exclamation point.

Also, there needs to be a paragraph break after: And I shall never see you give up.

Very sweet story, I thought. Just glad you didn't say "Great and Powerful Friend". :rainbowlaugh: One wonders how Twilight will cope with the library's destruction in the new series, or if it'll even be mentioned at all.

The feels! They're killing me! :applecry: As for the letter, judging from how it was signed off, I'd say Trixie wrote it.

4809041 Corrected. Thank you for the suggestions!
Actually; there is an entire episode devoted to the tree in Season 5.

That was pretty sad. :fluttershysad: But it was also really nice to see that there is somepony else who felt the same as Twilight. Wonder who the pony that sent the letter and the yellow rose is?

You're welcome.

And is there? Cool. I'm trying to avoid spoilers for the new series, so I don't know much of anything about it. :rainbowlaugh:

With those memories came sadness sorrow

I believe you're missing a word there. It should be "sadness and sorrow"

It wasn't something like time travel could stop either

Would work better if you deleted "like". Now it just sounds strange.

She decided there was no point

It took less than she expected.

Took less what?

a generic pile of debris and mess had another opinion

There's a space too much after "mess".

Suddenly, those thoughts were silenced

the contrast was between the rose and the library

Delete "was".

she most certainly she would have seen it.

Delete the second "she".

You may not know who left you this letter

Don't read the comments first. Major spoilers.

That said, I just know that it's Trixie.
