The plot doth thicken me thinks
HAH! I was right. Ten points to Jetstream!
And I was correct.
Oh this is definitely looking very good and has progressed far enough for me to hit the like button. I am really liking how you are working with the characters and talents here to set up what looks like some experiments into fixed-wing aircraft with scoots doing the engineering and Silver Spoon doing the manufacturing. This will set up an interdependence between the two and give their relationship something to grow from.
I am also really liking the continual explosions between Sweetie Belle and Diamond Tiara because I am getting the distinct impression you are going to use them as a counterpoint to the primary pair to create some interesting conflict down the line.
I really like your take on the characters and the pace of the story. Totally want more!
There needs to be a moment where Octavia teaches Silver Spoon, and shows her that her instructor has been holding her back. I don't care when it happens, but from that scene in the instrument room, I'm saying it needs to happen

I think you robbed this story of quite a lot of attention by not mentioning (via a blog tagging the original) that it was ever released. No Longer Lost has 331 favoriters (not including myself), so by definition not even half of them could have known that you released a sequel, as you've only got 142 followers. It looks like you trusted to luck that the people who favorited the original and aren't following you would stumble back to your page and notice that you released this.
Also, you don't have this story marked as a sequel in the description, so it isn't hard for me to imagine that the random people who stumbled upon it in all its cover image–less glory on the front page passed it up as just another weird fic that takes place in the future with (from their perspective) forced exposition, and didn't bother to continue reading, or even start.

I've always wondered whether people just find pictures they like, use them, and then source them, or if they ask permission to use them first. As an artist (though not a good enough one to try to do my own cover images), I would hope for the latter, but as a shy person, I would personally take the former.

I assure you that most artists tend to say 'yes', once you let them know you'll be crediting and sourcing. I think there are more that would be angry to find their stuff being used without notice than there are ones who would refuse when asked.
An error stuck out to me in this chapter:
And your paragraphs are still gigantic so very, very often.
All the same, story's excellent so far. You get a favorite and a follower, as promised.

It's not intended to be an error. Late-late is, well, later than late. I'll change it to 'real late' instead, though.
I'll look into shortening my paragraphs more. I just usually use paragraph breaks to change topics.
well thanks for finally letting people know about this, but now i want MOAR
still, several chapters of and the beginnings of an excellent story
I've got my eye on you again

Okay, I'm freakin' out about how much I love this over here. I like how Silver and Scootaloo both have pretty legit reasons for acting the way they do, and how you've written the relationship between Silver and Diamond Tiara. Really, though, all of the ponies in here are well-rounded and the way they interact is very masterfully done. I'm really, really looking forward to whatever happens next, 'cause I know it's gonna be awesome.
plus, this gives me an excuse to say spoonaloo, which may or may not be worst ship name for this. SPOONALOO!!!
Fantastic story Ashamed it took me so long to read all of this I kind of started and then never got around to finishing. No Longer Lost is one of my favs and this is a great "sequel" fic. It's a shame it doesn't have that many views cause it certainly deserves more than it currently has Anyway can't wait for more
yesterday i read 'No longer lost'(You might want to add a link to it in the description, makes it easier for whoever wants to read it first) and i was baffled of how good it was. I'm happy to notice that you are keeping up the good work with this story, many thanks for that.
Why, yes, Scootaloo, that is the eternal cry of the less-fucked-over.
As someone with a number of negatives people regularly try to misidentify as positives, this is something I can relate to. (Although, honestly, I'm concerned the story will eventually have the Heartwarming My Disability Is A Plus switch later that I find rather heart-wormy. It's a common enough trope, and it's your story and all, it just pisses me off personally.)
2422857 I think that's how you call for an Antique Chicken. Spoon, SPOONALOO!
Scootaloo: Shut up, Cheerilee!
Cheerilee: *stunned* What?!
Scootaloo: You've paired everypony against their polar opposites. You're an idiot if you expect such a drastic exchange to go smoothly just because you want it to!
Krillin: SHOTS FIRED!
Who's saying this?

Good chapter. Looking at your whole, "reason I'm taking a break" blog. Where does it say that peeps don't think this could happen? I mean sure I posted a good counter point to why it is plausible in the blog. But I don't really see here where peeps are saying this couldn't happen.
Yeah, last time that happened, you got a daughter.
Pairing up bullies with their victims may sound good on paper... ok that still doesn't sound like a good idea. Cheerilee needs to stop getting her ideas from Saturday morning cartoons... ok I'll shut up now.

Too be fair. That only happened with Deets and Sweets, and Silver and Scoots. I don't know about DT, but Silver Spoon does have a special talent for working small metal work, and Scoots would need that for her engineering project. Especially since it'd mean she can make it for free.
And the rest of the students were paired with ponies who had an interest for a certain thing, and could utilize their innate talents to succeed. Hopefully the Saturday Morning cartoon powers will shine through in the end.
What Idea is that? The Dash?
