Spring has arrived and Rainbow Dash has gotten the itch to try out a new sport. This season, the sport was baseball. As she befriends the team manager, she finds out that there's more at stake than just winning or losing. Can they gather the best ponies in Ponyville and lead the Ponyville Tornadoes baseball team to a winning season?

Edit: Here is a link to an image of the OCs that I have made, to help you visualize them. Many thanks to General Zoi's pony creator for helping me make this image easily and effortlessly. PONIES

Hmm...

Not bad, not bad at all. I'll be tracking this one. :ajsmug:

Also, the Ponyville Tornadoes sound depressingly a lot like my poor Houston Astros... :applecry:

Speaking as someone who enjoys a good game of baseball, this looks like it could be a fun story. First chapter's off to a pretty good start, and I'm really curious if there are any particular rule changes to account for the presence of unicorns and pegasi on the field. Not to mention seeing who'll be on the team, and in what capacity.

Faving and following.

Oh, Baseball, how I love thee. Nice so far, interested to see where you take it. I think you also have some golden chances for real-world references.

I don't know anything about baseball (since, as far as I know, it isn't really played all that often here in the UK), but I still find myself enjoying this story.

GO TORNADOES! YOU CAN DO IT!

I am all too familiar with cheering for a losing team (Rockies fan here) but it makes victory oh so sweet.

TWIST PLOT! They aren't good enough. Team is knocked. Moonshot becomes an alcoholic.

Don't you know anything about baseball? Moonshot is already an alcoholic.

Too bad I'm trying to keep this PG.

Hey, you're back! Just in time for the playoffs too. Good. My team's been outta the race since June, so I don't really have anyone to cheer for. Guess the Tornadoes will have to do.:ajsmug:

It was a rough couple months and other projects took me away from the story. Luckily, chapter 8 should be out very soon and I'm writing the 9th and final chapter right now.

This has most definitely been the most interesting chapter of them all. The game was written incredibly well, and the subplot of the Royals cheating went off without a hitch. Well done.

Okay, so first off. I was very happy to see a baseball related story. For obvious reasons of anatomy, not many authors do it, so thanks for that. The story is relatively short but sweet, and while there was rarely a moment where I was genuinely surprised, it was still an enjoyable read. Your ending was certainly very good, and I think you couldn't have wrapped it up any better.

I'm not sure what else to add. Your in-game drama was actually pretty good. I might wish that you had gone into more detail for more of the games, but that might be the lack-of-baseball-for-me-to-watch-right-now talking. Maybe I do have another suggestion. So you had some pretty good character drama too, and I liked how you kept the budding relationship with Moonshot and Flint Bolt very simple. It wasn't distracting and relatively realistic. But I kinda felt like the drama between Clipper and Moonshot was a little forced at times, or at the very least too over the top for this kind of story. It really wasn't bad, and I might be nitpicking on something not worth doing so for.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind seeing you tackle the subject again. Perhaps a continuation of this story's universe following Moonshot in the Big Leagues running sidelong with some wacky story with the new Tornadoes in Ponyville.

Looks promising so far. Pony sports stories are very rare, but pretty good.

Go Mariners!

I want a sequel mainly because there could be so much awesome stuff added to this story.

Does Moonshot make it into the big leagues? How does she do? What would happen to the 'Nadoes?

All those questions and more could be answered in an insane sequel. Overall, great job on this one.

“Yes they will. That’s what trees do. They grow! On their own! Applebuck season isn’t until the fall anyway. You’ll have plenty of time.”

Actually Rainbow Dash, trees need to be regularly pruned and tended to and this is why I don't get invited to parties.
