I've a rather nasty feeling about who's pulling the strings....and she wants us to say something nice.......

I think the Continuum would find this all quite amusing. Getting the chance to lecture the Solaminas of the omniverse about their failings is quite to their tastes.

5302803 Bit of a spoiler, but given what she is, they wouldn't dare.

5302805 Ah. Someone more powerful than them, eh? No wonder they haven't done much. Ah, well, I guess we'll have to wait for some love from Gallifrey.

Great. Perhaps after the war, Pony Dave will lead the children of the Holy Mother to Fuschal.

5319219 According to the Void, you have literally just saved Pony Dave with that comment.

Holy shitsnacks....the Sirens......

5594657 Great. I can hardly wait to see how THEY impact the story.

Well, at least she's not going to be spending her life envying the dead........

...Damn. That's terrifyin'.

It's actually inspired by Last Train, in that I saw the depiction of a first person ponification and it got me thinking of what it must be like from a Convie's perspective. Hence, this.

5674072 Me and TB3 were trying to once-up each other and see who could be more horrifying on that one.

5674204 Congratulations - you managed to not only scare the ever loving fuck out of me, but prompt a creative response. :-)

I like her. I like her a LOT. She'll do well for herself when the shit goes down after the war.

5916096 She might just. :-)

Oooh. Maybe he's the one giving TCB!Twilight her marching orders.

Oh, fuuuuuuuuuuu-----------------

No wonder she doesn't say much.

I wish I could fave this again. This is genius! This is... Wow. I see why you like his character so much

6259696 I just found writing him exciting. I also found writing Vinyl exciting.

The sad moment when you remember just what happened to Lyra and her last moments. Anyone else want to get on this feel train with me? The tickets are free.

Well, her day will come. So will Solamina's.

Another great update! Gotta love pony Dave always makes me happy to see him.

Bludgeon fighters, god that's a brilliant idea! I can see the R&D session going down;

General Anderson to Designer 1: So we don't have the ammo for the 20mm cannons and we don't have many missiles left. Got any ideas for what we do with our remaining jets?

Designer 1: We ram them!

Anderson: BRILLIANT!!!

USS Constitution

Jed, the world deserves a story on the death of this glorious Vessel of Freedom. With obligatory, "I have not yet begun to fight" moment.

This is the kind of prophetic shit you bring a plasma gun and a sack of meltabombs to deal with. Because when a kid screams so loud you can't actually hear it you know some strange shit is going down. And I've played enough Call of Cuthulu to know that the best solution to Strange Shit (patented and trademarked) is guns and explosives. Lots of them.

Ok forget the kid this the real Grade A+ Gluten Free Non-GMO Premium Strange Shit. Still, this is fucking genius.

7829427 It's usually the shorter, more evocative, character-focused parts that get one's best.

Ok scratch the kid and the sadist THIS is the Strange Shit you bring an orbital bombardment to! Absolutely terrifying!

7829433 Yeah, I always love reading these kinds of stories. When all you read is characters with arcs that are basically them prepping for the fight with the Big Bad you kinda forget about the little guys. The ones who in a Dan Abnett novel would probably get a quick sentence saying how a platoon of them just got wiped out gruesomely by said Big Bad. These things really humanize the conflict. These kinds of stories always get a better emotional reaction because all you need is a few well placed words and you've already given the reader emotional investment. And in a world-wide tragedy like the one you set up pretty much every one has a sob story. So when you kill them off at the end you know the audience will have a hole in their heart. It's tearjerking at it's most efficient and brutal. And in a world like this that's how it should be!

I've been catching up with Classic and New Albion, and the story of Lyra and Elliot is quite possibly the saddest one from the series. I hope that, even if it doesn't work out, Lyra admits her feelings to Elliot in the reboot, cause fuck... this has emotionally destroyed me.

Good work, Jed. I stayed up an entire night to read through the original story, but it was worth it. I can't wait to see more from Albion!

If you’re a fan of the Lyra/Elliot romance, mine and Doctor Fluffy’s Convergence has a lot more of the relationship explored. And I can say for certain that Albion definitely has more of their burgeoning relationship as well 🙂

I've actually finished Convergence. I'm sad that the scene where Lyra tells Elliot about her feelings was never finished, but I understand that you and Fluffy want nothing to do with the story anymore. Thanks nonetheless.

Avatar of Albion and candy mare should have a death battle

You know ancient Adamantia used to slice open gay couples from throat to tail as a punishment for their sins?"

Vinyl's eyes widened. "Say what?"

"That was their reaction to gay and lesbian couples," Lyra continued. "I guess they thought it was… 'icky'.

I bet they deserved it
