no please no just that is not right in anyway :facehoof: but now im interested in reading this

-throws up abit- ew :facehoof:

Mayor Mare is too sexy to be with... Granny Smith *shudders*

Mayor Mare should be having steamy kisses with Big Mac, Caramel, Braeburn, and so on... with stallions of her experience! *grr*

No, just no.:ajbemused:

Oh, and this too.

What is this........

I don't even......
.

I don't think Mayor Mare is old. She looks young and her mane is naturally pink...

great there goes half of my brain! :pinkiesick: SERUSLY!! dont know if trolling or just sick!

438548
It's not trolling. I am sick.

Just try reading the fanfiction if you are intersted and moving on if you're not.

See, I could say "U Mad?" at the end of this. But I won't. Because I was actually sincerely interested in the chemistry between some older ponyville residents.

What, you think love ends at age 50?

438595 it was good just seems wrong :pinkiesick:

438479
Fair point. I'm afraid I wrote this story before Ponyville Confidential. Still, she's the oldest character other than Granny Smith I could spot, and they both have a vested interest in the growth and development of the community. :applejackunsure:

438606 Well, I'm glad you liked it even if it disturbed you. This might be a stupid question, but what did you like about it? What about it seemed wrong?

438627 only the characters but what ever i can read anything even if it will scar me for life :rainbowderp:

Dude, I just want to know that I love and support the concept and I'm reading it with an open mind today.

(And ignore the haters. One of the better romance stories in the fandom is an elderly Rarity and young-adult Spike clop.)

437982

You chastised me for poor taste, because, in your own words, "Mayor Mare is too sexy."

:ajsmug:

438640
Are you saying the characters are what you liked, or the characters were what disturbed you? :unsuresweetie: Please explain more clearly what you disliked enough to be scarred by and what you liked enough to fave this for.

Thank you very much. :twilightsheepish:

Well...

Miss Mayor = middle-aged cougar-type, 40s - early 50s (I guess) Possible real-life comparsion: Heather Locklear (pic)

Granny Smith = elderly type, late 50s - 80s (I guess) Possible real-life comparison: Helen Mirren (pic)

Sexual activity with the former age group has been regarded as hot for millennia, whereas the latter is a no-no / need brain bleach / vomits thing...

I know you're a good author, but I'm afraid that I must decline in reading this story.

441117

Sexual activity within both groups is irrelevant considering that these are ponies. Saying that older than 50s is unthinkably repugnant, but ponies, those are still okay? Besides, whether or not you find the characters cloppable is irrelevant to the overall literary merit or lack thereof. If you wish to decline, do so, but you don't need to pop in first to protest the idea that an elderly woman can have a love life.

441098 this is childish but there old :twilightsheepish::twilightsheepish:

You're free to like what you like. I suppose I have a dog in this fight for having written Mayor Mare having romance with younger stallions. Dunno... In fairness, I guess I disliked Cupcakes as well, but lots of people (the majority of bronies?) love Cupcakes. Same feelings I have for this. Tastes differ. *shrugs*

I most heartily applaud this story. You go, Granny!

441232
Aye. I guess it just bugs me to have somebody drop in soley to say "Your subject matter includes an element that I don't like" without commenting on literary quality or lack thereof. I dislike cupcakes, but I'd never drop in on Seargent Sprinkles just to say "I don't like grimdark fics with gore!"

I'm just saiyen. vegeta.jpeg

441336
Very very thank you. Much appreciate the fave too. :twilightblush:

441191 Well if the oldness is what you dislike,t hen what do you like?

442102 :rainbowlaugh: WUT U TINK old is fine but old old iz not :unsuresweetie: its a good story but thar old LIEK I SAID its a childish thing to say

442151
I'm not really sure. What about it is "good"? .-. What appeals to you? The plot? The language? The historical reflection angle? :moustache:

448064 EVERYTHING is good buuuuuutttt theee chaaaraaataarrrrzz

I've written about elderly romances before. Heck; my two top-rated stories involve older romances, so I'm no stranger to the subject that you're writing about here.

I think that what's turning a lot of people off is the fact that you've chosen fairly provocative cover art. People are automatically going to assume the worst and thumb down with that kind of piece. I think another problem is that there's a huge age difference between Granny and the Mayor, which automatically makes the story a lot more squicky.

I appreciate the effort, but I think that this particular pairing would benefit more if you played it to be purely platonic or asexual.

Then my work here is done.

Upthumbed.

Ah was right to place my faith in you. :ajsmug:
