I don't know if it would be fair to compare Octavia to Rosa Parks here. Is it a social situation? Sure. Is there possibly an "-ism" at work? Yes, agism instead of racism. On the other hand, Octavia wasn't going to end up in jail if she failed to agree with the decision, she just wouldn't have gotten the job. Parks was risking a lot more than Octavia with her decision, and the repercussions of the decision affected a larger population of citizens.
