No Regrets for Sunset

Sunset's life was turned upside down after being expelled and banished from the castle by Celestia. Will Sunset be doomed to a life of mediocrity, or will Celestia give her one, final chance.

In this story, after Sunset is expelled, she does not go into the mirror like in the comic, "The Fall of Sunset Shimmer."

Well this was very well written. But the emoitions i got after reading this was so powerful of anger that i had to "half sleep" for 40 minutes. The feels. But i do like to know if Celestia ever finds out and if she does what would she do? ( And the anger i was talking about isnt because of "bad story" it was for my mental "video" i got of what i would do in Sunset's place) . An epilouge would help with the huge chunk of poissible actions and future's with this ending. And that would also help me so i stopp thinking about it all the time.

4632226 Thanks, and sorry the story affected you the way it did! I don't have an epilogue planned at the moment, since I'd like to have the reader use their imaginations. But if you'd like, here were two alternate endings I was considering. I don't want to give away the story, so I'll use spoiler blocks

Alternate ending 1: After Sunset shimmer leaves her apartment for the final time, she gives the keys to a homeless pony in the hallway and says he can have her place, she's finished with it. Then later, after Celestia's letter, the story would revisit that homeless pony, who is in the act of burning the paintings in a fireplace in order to keep warm. So Sunset's boss won't seek her out, Celestia won't seek her out, and it will be as if she never even existed.

Alternate ending 2: After Celestia's letter, the setting advances 100 years, well beyond the normal lifespan of a pony. Celestia is browsing portraits and paintings in an art gallery to decorate a new wing of the castle, and she stumbles upon Sunset's last self-portrait. Sunset is hanging by the rope in front of Celestia's balcony door.

So there you have it, the two endings I was considering, but I thought they were a bit much, so I ended it after the letter. In the "Fall of Sunset Shimmer" comic and the Equestria Girls movie, I got the impression that Celestia cared a little bit for Sunset, but not that much.

4635109 nah it is okay. And the "readers imagination" just got out of control and many things just came up. The worst was the picture of Sunset beging devoured by the local preditors. And the comic was a SHOCKER. I can understand Sunset's actions but Celestias cold last words " No the guards will escort you out" is what broke me. I would have freaked out and began screaming since secrets behind my back is one of the worst things i know.

4635109 Well the first one would be a great explinatn for a possible escape Sunset did instead of her "action". And the second was a bit creepy. See a self-portrait of Sunset while her body hangs outside... ( if i understod right)
