Interesting concept. The conditions they were raised in, the transition for being under a mentor (granny Smith x Batman) to being a leader of a group (Sweet Apple Acres x Teen Titans), the seriouness they take their responsabilities... Robin and Applejack are one and the same.
Cyborg x Rainbow Dash are also close. Both are very eager to prove thenselves, competitive as tartarus, and both like their ego stroked. But RD is more "bossy" and don't necessarelly works well with everyone, unlike Cyborg.
BB and Pinkie Pie: both comedy relief and both love tons of food. That's it.

4620661 Hmm, I have to wonder what the Titans, especially vegetarian Beast Boy, would think of Dandelion Sandwiches and Hay Tea? I'm sure that Cyborg is gonna be crying for meat soon enough, but I'm sure all shall find Sweet Apple Acres fare to be quite acceptable.
4620841 Yes. Yes they are. They even made a point of that in Teen Titans GO! with Raven's secret obsession with pastel colored ponies.
So rather than go for the obvious pairings, the best stories are based on mismatches. The ones who get on each other's nerves almost right off the bat. Heck, Pinkie Pie and Beast Boy is just too predictable (unless they tell jokes the other cannot grasp, or are otherwise insulting even if there was no intention to).
Robin and Pinkie Pie (He's bound to find she isn't funny, and may well play the role of Cranky Doodle Donkey. She would have much trouble cracking his stoic shell and would take him for being gloomy and no fun at all. But in time, he would figure she plays the same role in their 'team' as Beast Boy does in theirs.)
Beast Boy and Twilight (He thinks he's funny, but most of his jokes would go right over her head. She might even consider some of them to be insults. He would also be completely lost when she babbles on about magic and science. She also might be upset or put off by him changing into a stallion in front of her... or perhaps embarrassed that she finds him attractive in green?)
Cyborg and Applejack (Oh yeah, they both would want to compete with each other. I smell a pie eating contest at the least, and perhaps their own Iron Pony competition. But they would both come to the conclusion that they are the backbones of their teams, so it's kind of expected for them to do the heavy work.)
Starfire and Rainbow Dash (Well, one of these two is very competitive, and may well be quite jealous of the other's ability to fly without the need for wings. She may well also insult Starfire by calling Silkie gross or ugly. Things may well get unruly quickly, as one can shoot energy beams, and the other can unleash lightning by jumping up and down on clouds)
Raven and Rarity ("Dahling," said Rarity as she looked her over, "such dark blues are so last season! You need a makeover!" "This is all I ever wear and I'm not changing it!" she retorted. "Okay, there was that one time Trigon came back and I wore white for a while," she added more softly, "And the time I was split into separate personalities..." "GEMS!" called the unicorn tailor, "You're outfit is just DYING for some nice sparkly GEMS!")
That does kind of leave poor Fluttershy as the odd pony out, although I could see her sneaking away with Silkie under some impression he was sick and just had to be cured. But that line does sound used already, doesn't it?
Twilight should be Raven's guide. After all they are "sisters" (Tara Strong is the voice actress for both characters for those that didn't know). Also, could you please have Pinkie make references about how Raven and Twilight are "sisters"?

Starfire has to go with Pinkie Pie (oh the hilarity and cuteness that would ensue!), I'd put Cyborg with Applejack, Fluttershy should go with Beast Boy (yeah I know it's obvious), it would make sense for Raven and Twi to partner up, leaving Robin with Rarity and RD could whizz around and check up on everyone/pony. And I have unwittingly just come up with my dream volleyball teams...
