Along the edges of Raccoon City lays the Arklay Mountains, a vast and heavily forested region. For the past few weeks hikers have gone missing, and the few hikers that have turned up have been found ripped apart and eaten by some kind of animal. To deal with this, the newly formed S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) sent out their Bravo team to investigate. When a freak storm comes out of no where and cuts off communications with Bravo the S.T.A.R.S Alfa team head out to find them and see if they can uncover what is happening to anyone who ventures into the forest. Though they manage to discover what's responsible for all of the deaths, that discovery leads them down a path of horror and pits them against a powerful and corrupt enemy.
(Note - For anyone familiar with the Resident Evil universe: Some Resident Evil characters have been replaced with ones from MLP. Plot wise this will not be an exact retelling of the games simply with ponies. There is enough different that it shouldn't be clear what's about to happen simply because you are familiar with the series.)
Before I read, I must know something: will there be intricate fetch quests and Jill sandwiches?

Now, after reading the first chapter I kinda want to go back and play Resident Evil again. You really captured the feeling of the game, when the supposed routine mission goes to hell.
The only thing that slightly (really slightly) bothers me is the inclusion of modern weapons. I kinda expected things like blunderbuses and flintlock pistols.
But that's just me

The Scootaloo in my story is the same one from MLP. My story takes place about 15 years after the end of season 4. Scoots is a replacement for Brad Vickers. The reason I did that is because Brad's nick name is "Chicken Heart" Vickers and of course Scootaloo has the whole chicken joke thing surrounding her.

I plan to do the whole series actually. Right up to RE6, even the WIi games. I might split them up into separate stories though. I wanted to include aspects of the movies too but with that series taking place in a post apocalyptic world after the second move I'm not sure I can swing it seeing as I don't want to go that route. I know most Resident Evil fans hate the movies, but personally I am rather fond of them and would like to include them if I could swing it. I like pretty much anything Resident Evil related, I even bought all the Resident Evil Deck Building game sets.
Speaking of Leon, been having trouble thinking up a ponified name for him. I've been having such troubles with it I've been tempted to just say screw it and keep his name as Leon. But some friends who know a lot about writing said that might be a bad move if I don't plan to use more human names for other characters. Any suggestions for what I could call Leon?

I like that you even used the notes found throughout the mansion to help explain what is going on. I hope your next chapter has some zombie ponies and more notes found. I may have asked this last chapter so forgive me if I ask the same question. Do you plan to include in this story the "Resident Evil Zero" Storyline as a flashback when you find the ponified Rebbecca Chambers as well as the "Code Veronica X" Storyline with the ponified Claire Redfield. I know you said that you plan to use the "Resident Evil 2" and "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis" storylines as well. That is why I asked about the other 2 before "Resident Evil 4". When you start working on the RE2 storyline in this story I look forward to a ponified Ada Wong and Leon S. Kennedy. One more question do you plan to change perspective between Valentine and Red Field like in the first game or do you plan to keep it from Red Field's perspective
