Pinkie Pie for one of the sisters is a weird choice. At the very least it should have been Pinkamena; I cannot imagine Pinkie qua Pinkie being jealous or resentful (whereas I can very much see a dark version of Rarity having those traits.)
Other than that, this is pretty good.

Agreeing with you about Pinkie. But since everyone (especially Cadence) was pretty much ooc character anyways I decided to leave it as is. Pinkie was only chosen as another sister because of that episode with Iron Will XD

Alright, now that I've finished totally geeking out over the fact that IT'S MY LITTLE PONY AND GREEK/ROMAN MYTHOLOGY WHAT COULD BE BETTER, I'll offer some constructive criticism. overall, I think it's really good but I feel like it moves really fast. There's not really any dialogue or anything between Fluttershy and Discord to show her falling in love with him. I sorta feel like it may should have been a bit longer to give a bit more personality to everypony involved. Of course, I might be saying all of this pointlessly if this is just meant to set the stage for the rest of the story and you already plan on having more dialogue and stuff during the adventuring part. Just a few pointers, as I said, I'm already entirely in love with this.

never really thought of straying from this books adaptation...perhaps a flashback while Fluttershy is put to sleep? But yes I agree with you on it going super fast though since that's how the book did it I just went with it...but now adding to it...you might be on to something there...thank you chaosismagic93 
4602128 no problem. Every version of the story I've read has basically gone the same way and not really had much dialogue or anything. You adding ponies to it has definitely made it 20% cooler.

I wish I read and studied this greek myth back in college and hjgh school. It's so interesting and so loving, compared to other greek myths that were full of hatred and disgust (Odepedius and Electra)
