I saw another writer use that name once, so all credit is due to them (even if I can't remember who it actually was).
I think 'Ivory Scroll' is a better choice than 'Mayor Mare', as the latter just sounds... silly to me.
My only regret is that it is so short, (No, I do not think it was rushed.) I do wish it was longer, perhaps you could continue? Or maybe you could write a pre-fiction about the two's relationship.
Either way, I enjoyed this.

This is the first fic I've ever read about the mayor and I have to say I like her. Her name is neat too. I'm assuming that's her fan name?
As far as clop fics go it was good and the story has a lot of potential. It would be interesting to see John work along side the mayor and see a glimpse of Equestrian politics from the mayor's prospective.

'Ivory Scroll' is a name I saw in another story (which I can't remember the title of), so I can't be sure if it's her fan name or not. As for a story about John and Ivory's working relationship... I've been thinking about it.
