Cyanblackstone

I'm a crazy author-- but then again, what author isn't? I am into all things fandom, especially pony. I also love history, which is why I'm writing this crazy Apollo 11 thing.

T

Trixie’s hit rock bottom. Though she was “forgiven” after the Alicorn Amulet incident, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s a criminal in all but legality. For months, she’s been begging for food and scrounging what she can. Penniless and wagonless, when an advertisement for Harmonics, Inc., popped up, she immediately volunteered. After all, it came with the possibility of fame and fortune. More importantly, however, was the opening statement: “No Volunteers Rejected.”
Prince Blueblood’s in trouble. It’s taken years, but finally, he’s blundered, insulted, and failed every single job in Canterlot worthy of his noble heritage. There’s only one option left to him after his disastrous stint at the Research and Development Department. Celestia has “requested” that he take on the position of the highest-ranking member of Equestria’s end of Project Harmonics. Everypony—even Blueblood, for once— knows that it’s simply a way to simultaneously give him a job worthy of his title, and to get him out of sight and out of mind where he can’t hurt anyone as a figurehead. In fact, it might even help—it promises fame and fortune, and more importantly, “No Volunteeers Rejected.”
Of course, it only makes sense that these two misfits are instantly paired and sent off on an exploration mission.
The only thing the advertisement forgot? The quite significant possibility of death.

Interesting...I demand- er, humbly request more.

Very interesting, I'm sensing that this is a future part to your Luna on Earth series. I am very interested to see how you will take this story.

Colour me interested.

I'll be keeping an eye on this, it looks like it has potential.

Trixie and Blueblood being forced to work together looks like it can only end well. :pinkiehappy:

A good start. following.

"Project Harmonics" and "Ascent-related devices" make it clear that this either a 3rd-party sequel to Project Sunflower or set in a universe based on it.

4459553 Um, I do think I said that...

I'm sensing that this is a future part to your Luna on Earth series.

Maybe I'm just too tired, but I don't remember The Eagle Has Landed, The Eagle Is Sealed, and Splashdown being derivatives of Project Sunflower.

Also, I didn't notice any indications in this fic of derivation from anything other than Project Sunflower.

4459639
Um... where is Project Sunflower coming from???

Your first message said

I'm sensing that this is a future part to your Luna on Earth series.

I replied with the following

"Project Harmonics" and "Ascent-related devices" make it clear that this either a 3rd-party sequel to Project Sunflower or set in a universe based on it.

("Project Harmonics" is mentioned right in the story synopsis and "Ascent-related devices" is mentioned in the chapter itself.)

You then responded with

Um, I do think I said that...

...which started off this conversation because, as far as I know, "your Luna on Earth series" does not fit the criteria for "Project Sunflower or a universe based on it".

4459682 It's almost three in the morning and I didn't see the stupid link to the other story.

I see what you are saying now, and I don't have a freaking clue if these two are related or not.

Why am I getting a profound Aperture Science feeling from this whole situation? If the company won't reject any volunteers, it's because it goes through staff very quickly. The only question is: do they leave because the place is a complete madhouse or are they baked and there is cake at the end of the test track?

4459553 Indeed. This will be posted to the project harmonics group shortly. Also, 4459121 , I refuse to give anything away. Suffice it to say there may be a connection, and they may not ever meet, but they share a common multiverse, let us say. I will just drop that specifically vague statement of unspecified actions and connections which may or may not exist to frustrate you all. :trollestia: :moustache:

4466570 I would never ask for yes or no for an unfinished story. I only said I had a feeling but thank you for taking the time to set out the matter.

I have a feeling Blueblood and Trixie are going to regret not reading the fine print on those forms they signed.:pinkiecrazy:

Oh those poor ponies. You should ALWAYS read what you are going to sign.

Well this got creepy quickly.

Probably, they should have read the NDA before signing it. It likely gives Harmonics the right to turn them into Pony versions of a Deathlok or something like that.

Additionally: Trixie and Bluey, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

Well it's a far smaller number than I'm accustomed too, but I'm not sure what the exchange rate of dollars to bits is.

"Hello again and welcome to the Harmonics Incorporated Computer-Aided Enrichment Centre..."

Wow. I wonder what was done to Trixie and Blueblood. Were they given cybernetic implants? Genetic modifications? Are they under some kind of spell? I must know! Update!

Wow. That's pretty intrusive.

And they're being serious jerks about it. For their sake, they'd better built in blocking systems, else their newly created super soldiers are going to use their upgrades to pound them into the ground. Which would be fine irony.

The part that really creeps me out about this is Celestia deliberately sent Blueblood to get this done to himself, without explaining it. Seems like she really wants him to suffer with the excuse that "oh but he's BETTER for it" to ward off any serious criticism.

4601942
You both make good points. And I agree Celestia is a total troll.

On the other hand, though, Blueblood and Trixie are now both basically Wolverine from X-Men. You have to admit, that is kinda cool, especially when you think about all the stuff they could do with these abilities. If they could somehow go rouge, they could become superheroes! Someone think of some superhero names for them!

4604143
That's also true.
They could beat up the people who put them through this crap, for instance^^

4602539
The way I see it, there are three possible constellations:

1) Celestia wants Blueblood to suffer through this for whatever reason; maybe because she thinks it won't be so bad, maybe because she wants to punish him.
2) Celestia is kept in the dark about the exact way her nephew signed his agreement (aka without reading it). In that case, the eternal optimist Celestia is probably filled with pride at Blueblood's bravery, even if this reversal is quite sudden.
3) Celestia has no idea what this organisation actually does. In that case, she's going to be a little upset once she learns. Whether or not that has any repercussions remains to be seen. For example: The contract might be ironclad, but pissing off the supreme ruler can make one's situation still very unpleasant very quickly.

4604440
Probably a mixture of 1/2. She wants him to have a tough time because growth, but... maybe she also doesn't know that it's going to be sprung on him unceremoniously (and cruelly almost, since Time Turner seems to revel in shocking the unwitting test subjects), and then he's locked in before he knows what's going on.

Whenever you see the words 'non-disclosure agreement' or 'liability/consent form' you should REALLY think twice before signing something that means you can't talk about what you see nor can you sue for any injuries you WILL receive.

They(Trixie and Blueblood) are paying for it. They are paying for just signing the contract without reading A HUNDRED FOLD. And they don't know what they have to do yet. However, given how much was spent on them, something tells me they could pay for their stubbornness and stupidity with their LIVES. BTW, Time Turner is a total douchebag. The whole organization is run by a bunch of tools. Hell, I have a feeling Celestia is running the whole show.

Damn it...! This is a fusion with some computer game but I can't remember which one. I'm sure I recognise Time Turner's description of this particular little bit of pony enhancement.

So... Blueblood has been turned into Captain Equestria and Trixie into Marvel Mare?

Was the report in the beginning about Trixie and Blueblood or the two agents before them?

4642789 the two before. Check the names.

Trixie wasted no time after remembering how to make her diaphragm move. With a flash, she winked in front of Turner, shoving him roughly to the ground.

Trixie can teleport? Since when?

Blueblood was staring, fascinated. “I can’t believe it. You managed to perfect that?” He surged to his feet, grinning maniacally. “I spent six months trying to make something like that! I knew it was possible!”

What does Blueblood think Trixie had managed to perfect?

It wasn’t like she needed to prove herself to him—at least she’d accomplished something in her life

What exactly has Trixie accomplished? Does she mean the fact that she has some talent with magic? Because that seems to be pretty much it.

Seems not everything is second nature. I bet there's going to be a bit of hindsight thrown around in the future.

What kind of operation are they running here???
I feel so bad for Trixie and Blueblood.

Blueblood and Trixie are kind of like Android 17 and Android 18 from DragonBall Z, right? Those two brother and sister cyborgs created by Dr. Gero. (Blueblood being Android 17, and Trixie being Android 18)
By the way, could one of Blueblood and Trixie's abilities as cyborgs be that they can absorb other unicorns' magical energy to increase their own, just like the androids in DragonBall Z can absorb their opponent's energy? Just a suggestion.

I'm surprised that Time Turner has lived this long. He's lucky that Trixie and Blueblood hate each other more than they hate him. BTW, what's 'nanowrimo'? I keep hearing about it, but I have no idea what it is?

National Novel Writing Month. Write 50,000 words in November. Or about 1700 per day, every day.
It's kicking my butt.

Still unsure if Blueblood and Trixie are gonna hook up in this story or not yet. I love all the antics between them in this. Looking forward to more.

By the way, have you checked out my story 'To Boldly Hoof It'? I just finished the story, but the thing is, for the past several chapters, I hardly received any comments, if any at all. In fact, I still haven't had anyone comment on the final chapter of the story, and its been a couple days now since I finished it. I don't know if the problem is that they don't like it or what. Since it's also a Trixie and Blueblood story, could you take a look at it and give me your honest opinion?

5224940 Great story--but one thing you should know: Potatoes are poisonous to equines. They can't digest the alkalines inside of them (hence why they eat hayfries in the show).

Any chance of an update?

Can we please have an update?:fluttercry:

I read this story because I was starving for more Project: Sunflower content, but Hoopy hasn’t written anything since September 2016. I implore one of you to continue your story!
