For now, this is a one-shot. It hit me outta left field, and my muse would not let it go. it happens like that sometimes. I'm just hoping I can get the song outta my head now too. Since most of this story was built in the suspense and uncertainty, wondering if Pinkie was really imagining things. Now you know... wait, no you still don't know!

I deliberately wanted the reader to finish and ask themselves, is Pinkie imagining John, or is he imagining Equestria?
I'll leave that to you to decide.
As to a sequel? Probably not, but you never know. I never planned to write this story, so who knows what will come in the future. But for now, I need to get back to writing Room for Rent, and C'est la Mort.

The other ponies never trust Pinkie Pie. She has a special way of things and they should have trusted her, yet again.
Twilight probably could have pulled him into her perception with magic, and maybe, just maybe, could have helped him to wake up.
Of course at the very end, such is still possible but there was quite a bit of extra heartache.
The question will be if he wants to cut ties with the real world and live in equestria, or if he wants to go back with the help of his new friends. Both options are available so long as his body survives.

However, there was something I totally disliked: that moment when Twillight knocked Pinkie out against her own will. I'm quite sure that if I were Pinkie, I'd have never forgiven Twillight for that, moreover, I would most likely have developed some sort of unicorns phobia and racism. I mean, she thinks that just because she has her magic, that means she can do anything to me whenever she wants? Am I her puppet or something?! Unforgivable! Completely and totally unforgivable!

"The feels" as the other insane ponies around here may say. Is something of which I felt within my place where my heart once was, but since I have no heart. I did not shed one year while reading this.
I felt how both characters felt in the story. Pinkie Pie betrayed by her friends. And told she was crazy, and should be fixed. When all it is is she is different from the way they think. And John. Or Johnny, alone and sad as he had lost his father, due to an accident he was also in. And that like he shouldn't awaken until he feels he's truly ready, when he can take the world's harsh environment.
All in all I understand both sides. And leaving it up to the reader to decide which Alternate Universe this takes place in, whether it is Equestria, or the Human world. Or it could be both. And what will happen, and how, and why. Is just splendid.
I loved reading this story, and admire the writer for writing it. I have a somewhat similar idea in mind I want to write. But then again, it's also completely different. So. I bid you all farewell readers of my comment. And hope you have a splendid day.

Dude, those feels. You hit that chord and it made me, quite literally, vibrate where I was sitting. One of my friends had to reach over and steady me I was shaking so much.
It felt like I had an Iron weight in my chest; I had that feeling recently, that weight of... despair.

The story could use much improvement, especially with how everyone was incline to send Pinkie to the asylum without a legitimate cause. But the premise was still............heavy and caused me to think. And the ending was bitter in my humble opinion. Poor mother.
