Well in this case, it's strictly from a physical standpoint. Nothing about Spike's inherent abilities, it is simply that Spike in this is roughly the size of Princess Luna. We have all seen all images of her, as well as the ones that were canonized on TV. Suffiises to say that Spike's not too big for Rarity.
It's stunning that Spike's still smaller than Celestia though, and I have to assume he's also smaller then Asmodeus. Good scale (size) though.

As much as I love those types of fics, its not on my to-write list at the moment. I have a host of ideas for other stories in this universe, and as of now im sticking to them. That being said, maybe at some point in the future ill finally get around and write one of those.

The lead up was fantastic, the sex was okay. Conceptually, the positions and sex were great, but it's a little obvious that you felt some adrenaline rush when writing it. That's not too say that the sex scene is too fast, but that you wrote it very fast. There's quite a few run on sentences in that part, which is understandable with the amount of action going on. The best thing you can do to improve in my opinion would be to take a deep breath and look back over action-filled scenes to see if anything just doesn't read well. You clearly displayed your ability in the lead in, so it's just a matter of being comfortable writing sex scenes and checking your work.
I look forward to seeing you improve.
