One year has almost passed since a mysterious entity invaded Anon's mind and forced him to turn against his friends and terrorize the ponies of Ponyville. Though he was eventually freed from it's influence, Anon's attempts to return to his life in Ponyville have thus far failed.
Because even though he was said to be forgiven, no one can forget the fear and dread they felt during that time, least of all Anon himself.
Tormented by nightmares of his actions and the silent condemnations of the ponies around him, Anon is feeling his life spiraling out of control again, driven to shut himself off from the world as he is haunted by deeds that were not his own.
Now, his former friends must look inside of themselves and see if they can find it in their hearts to truly forgive and forget and if the bonds of friendship can be reforged... Before Anon is lost forever.

This is an unofficial sequel to Hurt by Brainhorn. (Warning! Do not read if you are disturbed by graphic depictions of rape.)
PLEASE NOTE that this story does not contain any scenes of rape or sexual nature, but they will be referenced and hinted at. (Also, spoilers for "Hurt" if you plan on reading it first.)
Also, though the main characters name is Anon, this is not like most Anon in Equestria-stories. It is not written in a 2nd-person perspective but the main character instead has a personality of his own, and though I've left much of his appearance vague, he is not the green faceless man he's usually depicted as. The only real reason he is even named Anon is because that was his name in "Hurt", and it would feel wrong to change that into something else. I say this as a heads-up to both those who like or dislike AiE-stories.
Cover art is made by TetraPony. It's mostly a placeholder until I can get something more fitting.

I don't intend for him to just be a bit character to be used as background filler though, of that I'm certain. Spike will have his side heard.

I was thinking why have people like discord or powerful people not done anything to completely obliterate Anon and any reminder of him? Other than the fact that magic can't affect him dicord is still a... a... thing that towers over ponies and should actally be able to rip him in half. I'm not saying he should but Fluttershy is his only friend soo. But then again this could be an alternate universe where ther never reformed him yet but there are still other people.

I have thought about this as well, however, I can't recall Brainhorn ever writing in his story when "Hurt" takes place in the timeline.
Some things though make me believe that it is set somewhere in between season 2 and 3, for example; Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are already married, but they still appear to live in Canterlot, so the Crystal Empire might not yet have returned.
Also, Trixie's personality seem to hint that she was still vindictive towards Twilight (She thanked Anon for what he had done to her), so maybe she hadn't had her second encounter with Twilight.
In my story, which is set almost a year afterwards, the alternate universe rules come into play.
The way I figured it, Fluttershy's ordeal left her in no condition to reform Discord (and all of the girls were far to emotionally vulnerable to deal with him, just think if he were to use Anon in order to break them even more), hence that plan was suspended indefinitely by Celestia and he is thus still imprisoned in stone. And after what happened to Trixie... Yeah... Ain't no way 'Magic Duel' happened...
TL;DR Yeah, things have changed
Hey. I just read this for the first time. It's been on my to read list for quite awhile now (faved because my phone sometimes can't activate the read later tab), and frankly I've been avoiding it. Not because of you or your talent, or because it's sourced from the dreaded AiE, but because of my reaction to Uncle Brainhorn's original story.
I first read 'Hurt', I don't know, a couple of years ago during a cruise through his pastebin. I'm not sure how familiar you are with his work, but he goes to some fairly dark places with his writing. 'Hurt', though... that was a whole new level of uncomfortable for me at the time (I hadn't discovered Slasher_Science yet). You're right, though; it ended in an odd place. Which is what drew me to this.
After all that pain and rage, suddenly *BANG*, story's over. No healing, no afterparty, no catharsis; just lower the curtain, hope you enjoyed the show. I understand that Brainhorn is usually more interested in the action than the consequences, 'Starting Over' notwithstanding, but in some cases, in this case, the consequence is the payoff. As in real life, it's easier to make the grand gesture (everyone loves a hero, right?), but the carrying on afterwards despite the burden of what you've done is where the truest human drama takes place. So.
I'm glad that you've chosen to continue this story. It's good writing that Anon isn't just magically fixed, that no-one just forgives and forgets, even if it's not his fault, and that your characters genuinely have to struggle with what's been done to them. Well done, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

I will admit, I had some reservations to actually making this story, let alone posting it. I was an untested newbie, it was my first story posted on this site, and not only was its subject matter, and origins, incredibly dark but it's also a AiE AND HiE story. And not to slight Brainhorn, but I knew there would be some who might judge this story out of hand due to any negative feelings towards his works. I knew this could have easily been a recipe for disaster.
So it's amazing to see that as of writing this, this story has reached almost 400 views, 50 favorites, 46 Likes and only 5 Dislikes (though I wish at least some of those dislikes came with an explanation, if it's legitimate complaints I would like to hear them, but I suppose that they can also be because of the reasons I was hesitant to write this story, I really can't do anything if this story just isn't someones cup of tea).
I don't think I would say I "enjoyed" 'Hurt' (once again, not trying to insult the guy) but I was strangely fascinated by it, I can't explain it. But it was the ending, or rather the possibilities from it that caught my attention. I love stories where the "hero" has to struggle with past mistakes and sins, it creates an amazing drama, and here we had a story with a guy who had done horrible things but had the perfect alibi, he didn't really do it! I couldn't stand seeing that potential not be utilized, and I also couldn't find anything similar, so I started making my own story in my head and on that road it went, eventually leading here.
I am happy that you've been enjoying this, and for your appreciation for my writing. I wish I could better express my gratitude, but I've always been bad at knowing how to respond to compliments.
