But is the realm of Minova inhabited by only (or mostly) minotaurs? Or are there other demonic/hybrid human-beast creatures that live here? I mean, Tirek is a horned centaur, and Scorpan is.....well, Scorpan (though some sources I've found label him as a gargoyle).
Anyways, glad to have found this fic. I plan to do an A/U that involves Scorpan in Equestria (during the return of NMM).

Things that would considered "monsters" in the canon would probably live in or near Minova- minotaurs, changelings, chimeras, dragons, griffons, etc.
In my headcanon, anyway, manticores are a bit more feral and live in the Everfree, although they are related to chimeras (Who are all descended from Discord, either genetically, or in spirit).

I know I'm getting ahead of things here, but I imagine the bestowement of Scorpan's medallion to Tirek not as a tiding of friendship, but rather as a definitive declaration that he is leaving his brother's company for good, and wishes to end their association entirely.
What a bold move that would be, as well as a turning point that would irreversibly change their relationship, forever.
I'm eager to see where this goes.

I'd love to; it's so hard to write for me right now because I'm doing other horse stuff. I will return to this story eventually, once boredom grips me firmly and has me enthralled, and I can envision its proper ending.
There will be an end, and you'll find what awaits Twilight. The hiatus has given me a reason to write but becoming #horsefamous is a full time job, trust me.
