ruled-by-demigoddesses.

attacking the mane six, trying to silence them, will enormously draw the attention of the regal sisters. and there is no stopping them if they decided to close your factory.

Well, if it were only that simple. Corporations have ways of keeping people silent and hiding their activities from the government.

Think of the real world. Those huge corporate monoliths have ways of manipulating international governments, their customers, and the media. They are very crafty. Just read the story, don't worry about the royal sisters, they'll be taken care of.

4397241 ............no they won';t cause you can't 'take care of them'. they are thousand year old monarchs, they have seen more than any of the corporations.

the major difference here is that the regal sisters have REAL power. as in the power to walk into a corrupt corporation's head office, beat him into the floor, and wreck his shit kinda power. the kinda power that makes attempts of assassination suicide mission with immensely low success rates.
harm the mane six and you are angering two beings able to literally kill you by destroying the building you are hiding in.

You don't understand, and I can't explain too much without giving spoilers. Where I mentioned "they uncover a terrible evil", that's pretty important. This is no ordinary corporation, something else is happening in the shadows. Something that could rival the power of the regal sisters, and it is that thingthat will keep the royal sisters looking the other way until it can emerge from hiding.

Just trust me here, there's more to this story.

4397284 it might distract them from ivnestigating the corporations, but not if the mane six are targeted it won't. it is normally the strategy that works. keep celestia's focus divided and she has a hard time seeing the deceptions, but do something that focuses her attention and she can see through it like the Eye of Sauron. that is how chrysalis was so successful, celestia's attention was divided.
however this is different. if the mane six are targeted or harmed, the regal ones iwll gain notice and protect them. and then you have to somehow make sure they do not connect the dots.
even then if the enemy is as greater or somewhat greater than them, they always have Cadance to call upon. the regal sisters and cadance easily far surpass discord's might after all if the finale is any indication....... and that is whether or not tiwlight is an alicorn in this story, then they ahve to deal wit hthreatening a demigoddess if a lower tier one.

I understand where you're coming from. The royalty is extremely powerful. Yes, I know that. Princess Twilight is very powerful as well. But, how do I put this without giving too much away? There's going to be a kind of "hostage" situation, and on top of that, the royal sisters will indeed encounter a diversion that will distract them.

This thing hiding in the shadows is an old enemy of the two sisters. Someone who has challenged them before and almost won. It's not Discord.

4397373 will have to see then i guess. just hope we don't have some rampant death situation giong on. never a good thing to occur.
another point i want to hold onto though. take someone hostage, hold them against someone like the regal sisters, and you have to realize one thing. your hostage is the only thing standing between you and a being far beyond your aiblity to survive.

...in our world government is a business, so their interaction with coporations are far from surprising and, unfortunately, necessary. when a man seeks money you can trust him to seek money. when a man seeks to help the world, there is no telling whether he will bring aid or horror to the world.

4397415

No rampant death scene, just some very clever manipulation, a little bit of magic, and an intricate plan.

You can't judge an entire story's plot from just the synopsis I have given you. You have to trust the writer that he knows what he's doing. If at the end of the story I have fallen short on something, then I deserve the criticism. But criticism this early isn't good.

4397449 i have a tendency to lean towards the cynical. and leaning towards the cynical has more or less been the better option most of the time.

I like it so far. Stories like this about corporations doing shady things in the dark tend to interest me.

Also, out of curiosity, have you ever read the Warrior Cats series? There was a plotline in it that involved the younger cats vomiting up black liquid that humans put out and Fluttershy's poultice-making reminds me of what the medicine cats do in that series. Not accusing you of plagiarism here; just saying that this scene is a nice nostalgic moment for me.

When I see a lot of comments being deleted without any reason as to why, I get wary about reading a fiction. From fear of my time being wasted, I always look out for some critiques. With those deleted comments, I get wary that because the author might just delete constructive critiques just because they only want positive ones. And when I can't find any, the story's description is the only thing that either attracts me or just isn't good enough to catch much attention.

It's alright, we were talking about how to fix a part in the story. I had to get rid of all the spoilers

The story moves to fast. It doesn't have enough information that would affect the reader on the emotional scale. That AppleDash shipping at the end. Not everybody on this site likes them.

If you do plan on making a shipping like that, I recommend that you flash out a bit more about their possible relationship. Otherwise that part of the story would seem like it throws the reader's emotion out of the window, thus breaking the fiction's immersion.

I highly recommend on writing a separate one-shot story about a relationship if you decide on making future shipping/romance. It'll teach you what not to do and how it's supposed to be handled.

4397269 True, Equestria is ruled by Royals That Actually Do Something, but, OTOH, Equestria could be seen as cripplingly over dependent on them, sort of a case of putting all their eggs in one basket. If an enemy figured out a way to keep the princesses from getting involved, Equestria could be at a serious disadvantage.

Nice storie, you have me in suspence, and the ending was amaizing thanks for the hard work
