I've read clop before, but I can only stand it in a tastefully written small dose. If you've read The Only Thing Better Than Flying, it's a perfect example of the kind of clop that I can read.

Ah, I see. Yeah, not really gonna find that here. I mean, I made an effort not to be crude or cheesy, but this whole story started as an excuse to see if I could write clop at all, so it's certainly not going to qualify. Oh well. That's why I put in the option to skip it.

Not jacked so much as someone wrote a story that was coincidentally quite similar to something I had in mind for a sequel to this one. I never told anyone about my plans other than the basic "Vinyl's birthday" concept, so it's not like they stole my idea or anything.
Very well done! It's weird, something this gentle is kind of a change of pace for me, since I usually read lots of sick, filthy fetish clop. It's nice to read something more gentle for a change!
P. S, totally looking forward to seeing what Vinyl's present is :3

Indeed. I really wanted to drive home just how close these two are, how bad Vinyl felt for pushing past Tavi's boundaries like she did, and how much she was willing to make it up to the mare she loves. I love portraying these two as having a really strong bond, and a more playful and less vitriolic relationship than I usually see, though most probably like the ship because of the usual tropes. A ship is only as cracked as the author makes it.

What I like most about this story and it's sequel is the simple fact that their sex isn't 'perfect'. They actually have to talk about things. They have to stop, they get carried away, they make mistakes. But they also talk about, laugh it off, comfort each other - it's just... wonderful.
You're right. It's not so much about the erotic part as it is about trust. And I greatly enjoyed that shift of focus.

I look at the clopfics around here, and almost all I see is idealized, unrealistic sex, like straight-up porn. There's nothing wrong with porn fics, I just wanted to make something more true to life, like things a real pair of lovers might do if we just happened to be watching them. Thank you kindly, and I'm glad you like it.
Wow, really enjoyed reading the interaction between vinyl and Octavia, they care for each other and they communicated about what was and wasn't working and its lovely.
