When Celestia has a vision of her protegee's future, she has to give her a home in Ponyville where she can fulfill her destiny. Luckily, there is a spot in the very middle of Ponyville, only inhabited by a lone, great oak. But, trees aren't as mindless as you'd think. Transformed into a house and enchanted, the oak muses on it's life as a protector of it's inhabitants.

And I actually haven't planned on anything of the sort. I intended this story to be an oneshot to try and see how my writing would be received here. I suppose it would be possible to claim the oak's spirit was / is bound to the new castle, but I'd rather have season 5 as material (To know if ponies visit the court and the sort.) So I doubt it!
