Harmony rules Equestria. Twilight Sparkle is the new princess ruling from he new castle in Ponyville. Discord has been permanently reformed, King Sombra and Lord Tirek have been defeated, and Queen Chrysalis hasn't be aground for a while... but it is soon revealed that an ancient primordial evil of Equestria, which was believed to be vanquished millenniums ago, is on brink of returning.
Princess Twilight Sparkle is going to need more than just the help of her friends and the power of Harmony to combat the forces of Anger, Hatred, Doubt, Despair, Fear and maybe against even one's own... Pride.

UPDATE 2021: More than 6 years ago I wrote my 1st story, which unfortunately lost steam due to a lack of confidence, effort, and just general inexperience, and on top of that I left the fandom altogether to pursue the creation of my own universe and narrative. This is the story I discontinued all those years ago due to my inexperience and low drive, and the chapter was built on the old speculation that Discord was actually Starswirl after he used his "Magical Mystery Cure Spell" and his time-travel spell in an attempt to change somebody's fate, but ultimately backfired on him.
However, the main premise of the story, the one I'm writing in Turmoil Risin, is the same.
