I really liked this story. So we'll see what happens, as ever. Gore tag for the first chapter only, and it's very clinical, so I'm not adding it to the story.
Is this some kind of Skyrim fusion? Or are you just using the language? I thought it was neat, but the pacing seemed a bit fast in my opinion.

It's a Qilin, aka a Kirin! The traditional Chinese fusion of a dragon and a horse. This particular incarnation is a carving by Yoshimasa Tsuchiya, carved from wood with glass inserted in it for eyes
