4392459 Mainly, his seemingly constant state of mind and actions while in the crystal. Any mind would go through several bouts of insanity, to sanity, then back and over again if they were isolated from social contact that long. It doesn't need to be fixed for the story to be fine, and now that I think about it, you sorta fixed that with this chapter with that first dream bit.

Keep in mind he eventually got traded around in society and was able to manipulate others for fun as the crystal. Sort of helped keep him a whee bit more sane, but still very bitter. I'm somewhat keeping in character with Magolor how he played innocent, but was manipulative right till he got what he wanted before the back stab.
