Magenta Cat

The writer formerly known as Wave Blaster. It's been a weird decade. She/Her.

T

Once upon a time, during World War Two, there was a soldier. His name was Frank Rock and he was the hardest motherf*cker to ever step in any conflict. He, along with his Combat-Happy Joes from the Easy Company, were fighting the weirdest war ever.
One day, while finding their way to Berlin, there was a bright flash of light and a boom, then they found a naked woman unconscious right in front of them.

Weirdest. War. Ever.

Not knowing what to do, they brought her to an abandoned house near the road to see what was all about.
This is what happened after she awoke.

Senseless scene deleted from another story that I didn't had the heart to erase. Rated teen for some language and because no children should read about war.
If you like it, I would like to know why. If you don't, have the guts to tell me why before clicking that damn thumb down.

First likes i loved this story:fluttershysad::fluttershyouch::fluttercry::fluttershbad:

Insufficient capitalization in the title. No tags.

like it :moustache: for 4 reason :
reason number 4 : it was well written :moustache:
reason number 3 : it might be a one-shot on the world war two , i liked to see that it was serious but not too much at the same time , i enjoyed it
reason number 2 : because yes war is terrible thing , and all those peoples died to make a better world whichever side they were , so let's not forget them.
reason number 1 : the Flash reference and........you called one of the soldier "Ice cream".......you made my day :rainbowlaugh: that's definitly the name for another hero :moustache:

one thing that i think is a bit weird though is Rock guessing immediately that she's from the future , i mean okay he saw the Flash ad Supes and a lot of weird things , but wasn't it a bit....fast ?:rainbowhuh: although it's not that much bothering
oh and two last thing : - s.tf1.fr/mmdia/i/52/9/detail-du-site-des-chips-pringles-10436529qfqiv_1713.jpg?v=1

Let's see those points:
4: Thank you very much. This is what happens when I watch Inglorious Bastards while listening Soldier's Side and reading Enemy Ave: War in Heaven.
3: I did wanted to get deep with this one but at the same time didn't wanted to be too depressive, hence those little funny lines in between,
2: War is hell. It doesn't matter when, where or who. Whoever who pass through that, ally or enemy, deserves recognition.
1: Sorry but I can't take credit for Ice Cream Soldier's name. That honor goes for Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert. He's supposed to be a good fighter in cold weathers and to keep himself 'cool' in the middle of battle.

Okay, with the Haunted Tank, the Creature Commandos, the Blackhawks encountering Flash, the Enemy Ace fighting both, Batman and Booster Gold as also Superman and Swamp Thing being members of the Easy Company for a time. Rock had seen some weird crap in his day, another time traveler isn't that much of a surprise.

Thanks for the chips and--

*puts the radio on THAT song and draws the Tribalman's Shiv*
"Let's see how much blood's in ya!"

When I get time...augh!
:raritystarry:

I can't help but think she would've been raped if this happened in real life.

Take your time, don't worry.

Thank you for that mental image. Now, where did I put that brain bleach?
Seriously, that thought crossed my mind at some moment, even to the point of making it a plot point about Celestia doubting about what happened when she was out.
But that doesn't seem something that Celestia would suspect nor something that any member of the Easy Company would do (need-- more-- brain-- bleach) so it would have been pointless and pretty much a severe case of ooc behavior for both parties.

The Pic Scared me.:twilightblush:

Nice, very nice.
This feels like you may have heard Norman Corwin's 'On a note of Triumph' radio broadcast. This has a bit of that 'feel' to it at the end.

Thank you my friend, is nice to see a positive comment on my story with worst reception yet.:twilightblush:

Sorry but, being from the literal 'last corner on earth' that is Chile, I've never heard about Corwin nor the 'On a note of Triumph' broadcast (but now I will investigate further about it thanks to you).
To be honest with you, this is mostly influenced on my own perception of the concept of war. Just as Celestia, I first saw it as a fairy tale about good versus evil. Then, when I was twelve, I collected an especial re edition of the 1939-1945 issues of a political magazine from here (Revista Ercilla), it was very different from the history books.:pinkiesad2:
Also, the aforementioned Inglorious Bastards, Soldier's Side and Enemy Ave: War in Heaven had their share on the influence.

Have a good day, see ya.:pinkiehappy:

‘On a note of Triumph’ was broadcast for V.E. day 1945 and was so popular it was rebroadcast a week later (that one was the one recorded). Here is a link to the piece:

I had 3 relatives in WW2, Two in Europe, one in the Pacific.
Grand Uncle 1 8th Airforce AAC: B-17 Pilot. Made the second Schweinfurt run.:applejackconfused:
Grand Uncle 2 3rd Army under Gen. Patton Spoke German and French. Fought in the Bulge. :derpyderp2:
Grandpa: Damage Control man 7th Fleet USN: Fought at Midway on USS Yorktown. Went to Guadalcanal, Solomon, and Marshall Islands campings, Iwo Jima, Guam, Okinawa.:twilightoops:

...it's VERY different hearing it from guys who were there...and willing to not censor it.:fluttercry:

I think I got what you are saying. Here in Chile we also got a 'darkest hour' in our history (we don't like to talk about it but search in google about Pinochet and you will understand).

It way too different to read a book about something and actually ask someone who was present. It makes me wonder if history books 'for children' are any good for anything beyond covering the truth with sugar (damn that sounded cynical).:trixieshiftleft:

"One of the hardest" would be more accurate?

5153599
Please stop. Is this some kind of retaliation for that "Rage Reviews" thread?:rainbowhuh:
I was watching a Tarantino film while writing that , okay? Quoting Julius' wallet just came to my mind.:unsuresweetie:

Also, I don't like doing a "George Lucas", changing an already published work.:ajbemused: But since you have been so dedicated into having that changed I'll do it. Under one condition.:ajsmug:
Review it.:rainbowdetermined2:

No, I just like heckling people. It's fun. You can keep it if you want. Hell, I occasionally blot out history for the convenience of a fic.

I just like heckling people

My fri-- Funny, I really never though I would reply in this site of all places and find inaccurate to call a site-mate 'friend'.
But let's get to the point.
I'm a man of many berserk buttons. This has made some moments in life quite hard, but it also makes me a very loyal friend of my friends and learned to stick to a set of values. One of those values is to never tolerate bullying, so you may guess where this is going.

To get this straight, here's what I'm seeing.
I see someone who simply came here to make fun of me and my work, even abusing of my predisposition to never let a comment unanswered, poorly wasting my time. Considering I've never done something like that or anything harmful for what it matters, directly or indirectly at you or anyone. Still you're mocking someone who never had any bad intentions.
There's no real reason for doing something like that.

Maybe I'm missing something (language barrier after all), but so far, you are a bully.

If I'm right, please, never come near any of my stories again if you only want to heckle. It's rude from you and just a general waste of time for both of us.
If I'm wrong, sorry the misunderstanding.

Oh, no the story itself comes off as interesting. Mainly for my love for HiE fics. In fact, it's now in my read later list and faved on my browser.

I apologize if my humor came off as rude to you. I find making a mountain of a molehill as fun, and occasionally do it with my own fics as well.

, you are a bully.

Is if I was continuously harassing you after you asked me to stop. I stopped after you asked me to stop.

5153788
Then let's call it just another language barrier moment. I kinda tend to those ones.

To be honest with you, the situation reminded me a very nasty moment buried in the past. Sorry if I got to much 'hotblooded' about this. Friends?

Hope you like the story when you can read it. If you like HiE, my story Stay is better than this one, and HiE fans seem to like it. Going further, The Man With Two Names by donald trump card is one of the best HiE I've ever read and I highly recommend it.

5153832

Sure, friends.

I already read it. Thanks, though.

I like it! BUT you need a editor and a pre reader
