In the heart of a mountain, an evil has been bound for almost nine hundred years. Now the reform of Discord, the embodiment of Chaos itself, has gotten Celestia thinking that perhaps darker things can change their ways as well. She speaks to the menace she locked away so long ago, then finds an older friend and counselor to come to her aid. A counselor that has advised millions of creatures, but never shown its face or even used its own voice, choosing to stay in the shadows.
A short story I may expand later on, depending on what you guys think of it. The main character Celestia deals with is based off a League of Legends champion, and the idea for the second character she interacts with is very loosely inspired by the character from RBDash47's story "Old Friends". Rated Teen for some descriptions of murder.

For sure this is well written.
The idea of a magical, lets call it 'abomination', brought to life by Starswirl which is also a completley insane serial killer and can not die, neither by time or other means? The idea alone that old Sunbutt actually tried to end Jinx life by force is a rarley used thing. Bold move but a good one.
A mysterious 'universal consience' that is good buddies with Celestia? I always liked these kind of 'forces' that try to interact with the universe without meddling to much or to obvious.
The foreshadowing that formentioned insane abomination is about to break free, which without a doubt will promise 'Cupcake' or 'Rainbow Factory' level bloodbaths? Now that idea is less apealling but it may be just me.
All in all, I would say a good read.

This is the first story that I've read start to finish in months
I really liked the discussion in the second chapter. The only thing I would suggest is a little more info at the beginning. I like being eased into a story instead of hitting the ground running. Still, a really great fic.
