A would be scientist who lurks in the shadows of The Land of Enchantment, too accustomed to desert life to withstand AC.

Fay is a nature aligned mage, and after a dark-mage's experiment with gateways, Fay is now entirely plant and in a land full of magical plant eaters. Interactions with a society that could eat Fay ensue.

No tags yet as nothing is for absolute certain. (Including story title that feels more like a temporary code name)

Seen lots of stories here with wolves being sent into a herd of sheep and thought why not send a sheep into a pack of wolves. Here is hoping this idea isn't ruined by lack of skill or willpower (whichever comes first) from the author.

Feedback please.

Great! But you forget to put question marks on some questions.

I am floating around. I will get right on those questions without marks. Glad you like it so far.

Fay would need to be more cautious bookkeeper or no a pony had found out.

Huh?

This looks really good! Although, at the last sentence, you put, 'Does that me no breakfast.' It should be mean and have a question mark.

A job for your friendly neighborhood comma.
"Fay would need to be more cautious, bookkeeper or no, a pony had found out."
Or does it require further tampering?
4189646
It really is odd how many times I need to be reminded that questions have their own mark

4191472 sorry dude, but that still doesn't make sense.

4191529
I am going for a happy medium. Added commas to story and will further explain down here.

Twilight learned what Fay really is, at least both of them think so. Fay had the cloak on at all times and yet Twilight, the esteemed bookkeeper, still found out somehow. Naturally this means caution is needed to prevent this from happening with the wrong pony. Loose lips sink ships, as it were.

4191586 ooooohhh! Yeah, it makes sense now. I was probably seeing through my first impression of the sentence.

so is fay a part plant :derpyderp1: as I'm not sure

4193279
Fay is now 100% plant thanks to a higher magic concentration in Equestria. While not the case, it may help to think of Fay as a civilized timber wolf.

4193517
cool but I would think Fay would be more like the wooden enemies in Skyrim but with hooves :twilightsheepish:

Yeah! New update! It's good. I like it.

Great story!
You deserve the like dislike ratio

ooh twilight for all you brains you might as well have the intelligence of the CMC its not like you take time to see things through. seriously Celestia why didn't you put her through guard or some kind of rationality training you see how she freaks out worse then pinkie pie and that's just test is it really I good idea to leave the most powerful unicorn in existence a unstable mess?:pinkiecrazy:

I am enjoying this story greatly! The skill in which the protagonist speaks is astounding! I only wish I had the knowledge to do the same. :applecry:
The idea behind the story is simple but is painted very well.
On another note, What is your source material? Where did you find the ideas for the world Fay comes from? Be it your mind or a book, clarification would be much appreciated.

The basic rules of magic come from a Mod for Minecraft called Ars Magica and some of the lore that it brings on such things as the Arcane Compendium, Nexus, and Spell Pages. The rest comes from recollection on in game relations between some friends and me. Now I simply patch holes and build hills as I stride ever onward.

Almost forgot, thank you for the kind words. I aim to please

4569267 Ooh Minecraft, didn't see that coming.

:rainbowkiss: Yay, I made a comment!

So, on to more relevant matters. I am still slightly confused as to Fay's appearance, the words used to explain what she looked like made it difficult for me to understand. So far I have two possibilities. One, she looks like a pony made of plants. Two, she has the upper body of a humanoid and a lower half that has four legs, yet again made of plants. Please forgive the need for clarification, A linguist I am not. (Totally not obviously try-hard-mode ing on complicated words to sound smarter... *rapid number of left-to-right glances* :rainbowderp:)

Think trees or flowers, tall and slender frame with sturdy roots to prevent falling over. Fay is more mobile than the average plant, the roots make up the "skeletal system" with thorned vines being the muscle and ivy being the skin. The exceptions are the extremities: roots for structure, vines for manipulating, and head for pretty. Think of a younger Grandmother Willow decked out in flowers for the head.

Short answer, closer to human than pony.

Fay would be happy to know that dragons mainly eat gems in this dimension
