Should there be an alternate universe tag?
3547824
Eh? Why would there be an Alternate Universe tag?
...I've got so much to read already. And I've got to finish my OWN fiction.
Adding to the favorites list, I'll get back to you. >_<
3548060
Yay! I love new readers! Thanks a gazillion!
3548064
:)
Readers are why I write. Otherwise I'm just shouting into the night.
3548220
How is the next chapter of Stardust coming along?
3548758
Currently sent off to my editors/pre-readers. I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to post it. I think everyone's gone to bed.
Also, R U STALKIN ME!?
3548765
Why of course not!
In all seriousness I just lvoe FoE ficks, been folowing this one since chapter 8 in fact. That and I love games almost as much as love good pony fics so natraly a good pony fic combined with a game I like, like say stardust, is something I just sorta gravitate to.
Anyone else tired of these Fallout Equestria fics?
3549131
You are not obligated to read them.
3549297 I'm not dissin' on all these fics. I haven't read them all. I'm just saying having a new concept isn't too hard to have, is it? I'm just asking for some new blood here.
I'm of two minds here. The first, is that this has what I have come to expect to you. (A good chapter all and all.) This chapter has the beginnings of a 'lonesome road' kinda deal, if you are familiar with New Vegas. Or any of the ways in which you prepare a guardian at the gates scenario, but with a xanatos pile-up in the works.
While you show, clearly the nature of this, and not really tell. I pick up, however, that you've left more than a bit unsaid for the singular purposes of the reveal at a later date when the speed chess as it were, unsnarls, leading in with the final choice. If a fall occurs in the hero, it is unsaid, though implied in that which will occur.
The other, is more, that while what you intend, and as a story finishes tightens to the threads that can be woven, it will snap. And in doing so, break the one thing that hurts more than anything, in any work, the suspension of disbelief. And I do hope you can do this, as an optimist to such a place.
I don't have a critique of the story here, or the passage, as you have explained a bit in the previous. I really hope though, it goes through as planned.
Heh, I found it kind of funny how Nixis used a line similar to one from a Doctor Whooves fic I've read ages ago...or was it an audio play. Meh.
Anyways, I like how you're adding more familiar creatures from the Fallout universe as well as a reappearance of a Star Spawn, those things are beastly, pardon the pun
3547828 Because it's a Fallout: Equestria fanfic. They're always all alternate universe fanfics.
3548856
Those bits will be fixed in a final edit pass when all is said and done.
3549568
Mmmm yes I greatly enjoyed LR. My fav DLC is OWB though.
Very well thought out comment though. I am working on 32 already so pressing forward is going ahead as planned.
Thanks for the continued readership!

To be honest, I was kind of surprised that I *hadn't* seen anyone use cazadores in any FoE fics, given that they are one of the more interesting monsters in NV. Also, the star spawn was fun. Highly enjoyable to write, that.
3548856
Also I'd like to point out that particular issue was only something that ended up in the Prologue (I had a lot of... back and forth on that when I first published that). Once Starlight is all wrapped up, like I said, the majority of those issues will be taken care of.
3550305 Well the Cazadores did appear in Pink Eyes, albeit in the form of the Paradore. Still, one thing about mutations, artificial or otherwise, aren't always uniform so one can just write in an original mutant or beasty that's completely independent of what's already established. The Star Spawn and Canterlot Ghouls being good examples of such mutations.
...ok that was a tad...much? Guess my inner Fallout fanboy got loose for a second there or something.
3550343
This is true. I forgot about the Paradore. I may have to re-read Pink Eyes at some point.
Also, in regards to your comment about Nixis: whee! I love him anyways, so the fact that he gets to say fun things, is fun to me.
3550129
Then you may like this gem, if you haven't already seen it? Shining Hearts . But I'm glad to hear my comment did not sound like the drunken ramblings of an insane asylum escapee given the three am reply.
Old world blues, its an odd mix. Part of it, I get. And some of it feels like an apology for Dead Money. The narrative style, had a fun bit of humor, but again. I digress more so on perceptions filters to narrative elements in what .
I guess I hold more to the second fallout to being the best in what appeals to me in writing. As you really start with nothing, ignorant of the world, and learning through being thrown off the deep end. The how of change is up to you when you see society, not a complete sheltering as it would be in most vaults.
3550316
Does this mean that you do your own editing? And if so, is this a personal choice, or has no one applied for the job?
3551392
No. I actually have an editor and two prereaders (wirepony, mcmesser, and heartshine) but the earlier chapters I did not. It has always been our intent to do an edit pass after the end to clean up mechanicals and grammar.
3550832
I love Fallout 2 as well. And yes, I've seen Shining Hearts. It's excellent!
3551982
I figured it'd be odd to have a 500k word story and no editor. I didn't notice them credited anywhere, so I felt compelled to ask.
3552805
Fair enough. I have them listed on my Google Docs hub page, among other things, but didn't realize I didn't have them listed here. Thanks for pointing that out. I've gone ahead and updated the summary for it.
Okay I have one important question. Where are the element bearers at? you know the ones that were hoof picked by LittlePip in Fo:E. The most powerful magical sources have gone evil, and No pony thinks of contacting them. don't say there busy cause this is the fate of the world.
3556214
Star's never really proven herself to be very smart. Not only that, everyone doesn't necessarily know who those ponies are except for Spike, Littlepip, and the bearers themselves. Littlepip didn't exactly share that knowledge with anyone prior to the battle other than those who could have been the bearers themselves.
Tl;dr; Star doesn't know who they are. She's not even aware that new bearers were chosen. All she knows is that Spark needs to be stopped, and she thinks she's the one who has to do it.
3556257 But Life bloom knows. I may not remember all the details in your story but I remember he was in it.
3556661
Life Bloom at the point that he shows up is a little busy dealing with the NCR. Star never tells him why they're there, or even why she was passing through. She only ever dealt with Dusk Blue during her stay at Tenpony, and we all know how that turned out.
So even though he knew about the Bearers, he didn't know why they Star and the others were there to even begin to with. The rest of the group wouldn't know much more than Star, and they would have no need to seek out Life Bloom.
I'm relatively certain that given the time frame, that the current bearers are likely searching for the remaining bearers. It's also likely that despite them exemplifying the virtues of the Elements, that they aren't yet in tune with those Elements because Gardens hasn't been cast yet.
More or less, this story isn't about them. The Wasteland is a big world, and lots of things happen, and everyone can't be everywhere at once. Star is trying to finish something she started, and that's what is important here.
Don't get me wrong though, your question is absolutely a good one, and very thought provoking. So kudos there!

Hello there! Thank you for your comment and your reading!!
In response to your question (as I just got home and was able to respond), I did a lot of reading (and even in my last re-read) and I really couldn't pin down much information about how the Followers of FoE actually operated, so I went with what sort of made sense at the time (looking back now it probably wasn't the best of choices, but this was my first piece of fan-fiction and I'm always looking for improving things), so I sort of figured that since the Followers would have to have different geographical areas covered, and Velvet couldn't be everywhere, given her status as a Bearer, that some of the alicorns would go with what they knew best from their time under the Goddess.
Essentially, yes, they're still dedicated to helping the ponies of the Wasteland, and they're still training and sending alicorns to help others, just in their own little way. Fort Knowledge is a rather removed place, so this particular group is a little cut off from the others.
So hope that explains things a bit, this is honestly the first time anyone has ever mentioned it. I'm always looking for constructive criticism, and this was a great question, so thanks and I hope you keep reading, cuz you know... you're awesome and stuff.
