New story! I hope everyone likes it!

The feels man! The feels! They are washing over me! :fluttercry:
Nice to see that you wrote us another story already. And an awesome one too!

4104294 - Aw, thank you.
I just wanted to write a quick little story with a touch of pathos.

So here I am laying in bed thinking "hey look, a Lotus Tea Dragon story! His writing is so nice and fluffy, perfect for a bout of insomnia." But oh no, you had to go and put all the feels into this one. Now I'm gonna be up for hours! And the worse part is… this story is way to good for me not to hit the like button! AAARRGGG!!! :flutterrage:

So have a like, but your not getting a mustache

Okay fine, have a mustache :moustache:

P.S. That "horseplay" pun was amazing

4112344 - Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed it, Henry! I do a lot of fluffy writing, because I prefer fluffy. Life can be painful, harsh, and sad. I like my stories to be uplifting, because I like helping people escape the sadness. Sometimes, though, I feel like writing about things some of us may face in our lives, and so I wanted to do a more serious story, without heading too far into sad territory.

I debated putting the "sad" tag on the story itself, but I ended up not doing so, because I felt that while there is momentary sadness, the message is one of hope, that even though a parent may pass away, they've instilled in their child all the good, all the love and joy, that they could. It is a message that we are more than just nameless, faceless people (or ponies); we leave legacies, we build futures.

I don't like delving too deep into such things, though, and will be returning to light and fluffy soon. Also, you get a million points for catching the horseplay pun. :rainbowwild:

But seriously, good story.

4126040 - Thanks, Starguy135. I'm glad you liked the story.

Huh that's weird I didn't see this pop up in my notifications :unsuresweetie:. nice writing as always, but the whole thing seemed kind of meh. :twilightsheepish: no offence I love your work but his fic was really just kind of flat. :applejackunsure:

4127123 - That's okay, I'm not going to take offense at it. This was a more sober effort, and the results being mixed would not, and do not, surprise me in the slightest. I wrote this in a single sitting, in approximately 15 minutes (including edits). It was a push, really. I got this itch to write something a bit different, and so I did. Honest opinions do not bother me, nor do they offend me. The only thing that really offends me is someone not even reading it, and either telling me it sucks, or downvoting me. To me, that's a terrible thing to do to a writer.

So thank you for reading it, Painbow Bash. I hope a future work excites you, and gives you more enjoyment.

4127124 Well I didn't down vote it so I hope you are happy. :derpytongue2: I even up voted it, so now you better be ecstatic. :raritywink:

4129858 - Aw, you didn't have to do that. [hugs]

4160792 - Thank you, Saito, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was harder than I anticipated to write a story and keep certain details under wraps lest they tip off the reader. I think I succeeded. :pinkiehappy:
