I write things. Sometimes they have small pastel horses. I have a patreon and a discord.

A tiny filly stands on an open plain. Somewhere in the distance a fleeting glimpse of white leads her on, her heart yearning towards it. A dark power wearing her face attempts to stop her. And as she dreams, and wakes, and seeks, she finds that nothing is quite what it seems...

Tears can only express the loneliness! :fluttercry:
Also...why is there no luna emocon!?

Looks like someone had a bad acid trip.

4155170 There should be one! It's very sad. :raritycry:

4155172 I know! It..makes me. :flutterrage:

Huh. To quote the faceless old lady who secretly lives in your home, this is a metaphor. I'm not sure what for, however. That is also a metaphor.

SPark, your writing never ceases to amaze me, time and time again you pull at my gut with the sadness that can only be portrayed in loneliness and pain, I wish you the best on your next story and farewell. From the God of Wine:heart:

The Feels. They are killing me.:raritycry::raritycry::raritycry::raritycry::raritycry::raritycry:

Very nice work. I'm somewhat unsure of my chances of winning now.

4156021 Thank you so much!

4156045 I'm glad this comes across as emotional and not just confusing.

4156889 Well, you never know what judges are going to like or not. Especially since it looks like it'll be a community voting thing.

So for 1000 years she dreamed of chasing her sister, tormented by her darkness?

Well-crafted story. Like it a lot.

4176982 Pretty much. And thank you! :pinkiehappy:

Here's this:

And I seem to be handing these out like candy today, but have a TL feature recommendation.

4203606 Eeeee! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy: Thank you!

You're very welcome

One quick clarification: you're on the shortlist of potential features. Not quite to featured yet. You'll have to wait on Mayhem for that. At the very least, you're on my user page's "Recent Gems from the Incoming Folder" box. If you're featured, the story should flip next week at the earliest. Stay tuned

4203627 Yep, I tend to keep an eye on the recommended feature thread for stuff I should be reading, so I know how it works.

Thanks again!

Just gonna leave this here

4203688 :pinkiehappy: This story seems to be collecting an entire soundtrack.

I love how the song also kind of connects with Luna. The fireflies being the stars and the people as ponies thriving around Equestria

There's also this one song...

Passing through and reading fics for the Luna is Best Pony contest!

I really liked this one. It was very surreal, but without being difficult to follow. And I adore the idea of this constant psychological battle, with Luna being just a transitory personality that wakes from time to time through the ages, only to be squashed down.

It's very much how I pictured things going, with Nightmare Moon.

4212383 Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

Aaaaand, congrats on winning the Luna is the Best Pony group's first contest with this fic!

This one was my own personal favorite. So I'm happy to see that it made it to the top!

4239528 Holy crap, seriously? EEEEEEE!!!! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

Very insightful and cryptic. I loved your use of the symbolic situations and unexplained metaphors, as well as the intensely surreal premise of the neverending dream. I think I might've mentioned this before, but this fic reminds me a ton of my fic "Wisp," in content, style, themes, tone, depth, and initial reception or lack thereof (EDIT: just kidding on that last one i just read the comment section o_o). Well done, though, on winning the "Luna is Best Pony" contest! I certainly can't see the aforementioned beloved textwall of mine winning any such contests xD Still, seriously, I loved everything about this fic. Fav'd and liked, and I'd have followed you again if I wasn't following you already. :P

4303410 Thank you very much! I actually gave Wisp a look the other day, and it is pretty intriguing, but I had a hard time sticking with it. Were I better at critique, I could explain why. I don't know, it's possible I just have a short attention span right now.

That was... amazing. She tries so hard to break free, to remember... and once she finally does, she is reminded of why she made her deal with Nightmare Moon in the first place... and allows herself to forget.

That's chilling. Brilliant.

Have you ever seen the magnificent anime movie "Spirited Away"? Because it does the same "shadow forms walking around you, filling in the places where people should be" thing.

4408905 :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy: I am super stoked that you liked it so much! And yes, I have seen Spirited Away. I wasn't consciously thinking of it when I wrote that bit, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's how the idea got into my head.

I'm just glad I found a free moment to finally read it :yay:

A little difficult to understand at first, but I liked it.

4446810 Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Words fail me... I don't know what to say, I seriously don't.

5137865 Well, thank you. It always cheers me when somebody likes this one. I feel it's my most under-appreciated work.

This is horrible D: wonderfully horrible. I hate it but love it! Poor Luna....

5181281 Thank you! (And at least we know she eventually gets free. )

Moving and fantastically written. This is one of the best psychological Luna fics I've read. Great work!

5438107 Thank you!

This was a fine piece of work!

6396262 Thank you very much.

And even when the darkness is most cloying, when the moon is lost and sunk into the great sea of infinity, one must hold but a little longer. For in the cold, and lonely dark, there soon comes a noise greater than any song, and the darkness begins to bleed away, with the coming of the rising sun - to banish all the darkness away. And when the sun sets, shall set shine to the more glorious sacred moon.

Hold on a little longer, Luna. It is dark, but your sun is going to rise, and banish the dark from your moon.

And then you can come home again.

It makes me sad that no previous comments mentioned this:

Now excuse me while I read this story.

7863775 Ha! Somebody finally got it! :pinkiehappy:

My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow

Still, I wish you the best of luck
Goddess knows I have not
I would still be raging
Nothing but a raving beast am I
To those who would wish me good
I say, "Go, trouble me no further"

My thoughts, in a slightly more coherent format than they actually were after I read this story.

7863824 That is delightfully appropriate.

Much like Nightmare Moon, this is a self-inflicted tragedy of millennial proportions. Gripping in tone and crushing in its cyclical nature. I wish I'd read it years ago. Thank you for it.

Thank you. This one is near and dear to my heart, so I am always extra delighted when people enjoy it.
