Erm....what 'illegal' things did Trixie do? I mean I know she kind of took over Ponyville, and that's breaking the law and whatnot, buuuut....she was allowed to leave, right in front of Princess Celestia no less, so she was clearly pardoned. Unless of course you're trying to say that Twilight, her friends, and even the entire town just stayed hush-hush about the whole thing after what they went through, for some unknown reason, until after Trixie was gone. Even though Celestia was right there, watching a show Twilight was putting on with her magic, with Trixie right there next to her offering a little boon to enhance the quality of the display for the Saddle Arabians.
But then, if we didn't inexplicably spontaneously have everyone decide to 'arrest' her on-sight, we wouldn't have our BDSM porn from out of nowhere....*sigh*.
I'm really hoping that Twilight and her friends are just really hot for the idea of having a slutty little mare to break in and turn into their sex toy. Because otherwise there's just a gigantic inconsistency in the plot that makes my inner writer writhe in discomfort.

I'm well aware that it doesn't excuse a criminal act, but as far as we know, as I stated, Trixie was clearly allowed to leave even though Celestia and probably the Royal Guard were right there. And if not a single one of them said anything and Trixie actually wasn't pardoned, not only would that mean that they all willingly aided in the escape of a fugitive that used and abused them, which just doesn't make sense after what she did, it also makes them all accomplices in her crime. Willing accomplices at that, especially since in this case, it seems that the influence of the Amulet isn't being held responsible for Trixie's actions.
Of course, this being an AU, it's also possible that the actual crime has changed and we don't really know what she actually did to make her a criminal in the first place
Mind you, you shouldn't take this the wrong way. I like where the story's going! I just hope that this is addressed at some point.
4254372 Not arresting her on the spot can't be seen as becoming accomplices, just as a grave negligance on the side of the guards and they should most likely be discharged. Though you may consider her being on parole too. Seeing her running away from town didn't have to trigger action if she was allowed some freedom of movement under the condition of reporting back. She didn't report back so she is now charged with both her crime (intention of attacking publicly important person came before the influence of the amulet) and breaking her parole.
Still highly interested in this story and still enjoying it.

Now, as you can see, there is an AU tag. The end of Magic Duel never happened, Twilight didn't forgive Trixie as Trixie didn't do anything to apologise, she just ran. Starving and scared... yet Twilight still provided food and a place to stay? The only reason she's not struggling against going to prison is because she simply doesn't have the strength to resist.
As for the story... although not exactly clear what was going to happen, just by the visible objects in the cover art you should have been able to guess. But, you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect that.
Also, Twilight's been the Tartarus and back. She took Cerberus there.

They boo her for doing the SAME EXACT DAMN THING RAINBOW DASH DOES REGULARLY when she calls herself the "fastest flier in Equestria", yet nopony calls Dash out on HER bragging.
