Commander Icarus Nightwing leads a team of the finest soldiers from the Old Republic to fight against the Tyrant Celestia, but it will not be easy. I've been thinking more and more about what you've said, cause it is a concern... The thing is I myself try to be perfect, to fit within my own definition of perfection anyway, but I'm human and as a human I am doomed to fail, that is part of being human.
Now I know it's weird to call a pony human... but really thats the crux of why MLP:FIM has become so popular, the characters are human. When I write (And especially when I do the flirty things, R34 doesn't exist, DOESN'T EXIST) I'm imagining humans with wings or a unicorn horn and a tramp stamp (Then ctrl + f Hands and feet, replace with hooves). Part of being human is trying to be perfect and failing in a moment of weakness. Part of being human is having ideals, having those ideals challenged and having doubt. But part of being human is overcoming weakness by relying on those around you and finding it within yourself to continue fighting for what you KNOW is right.
A wise Turian once said "there is only so much fight in someone before your brother picks you up, dusts you off and kicks your arse back into the fight"

Saying that one could argue that the Protagonist is an agent of chaos... I dunno, I'm kindo of split on the themes of the narrative my self and I KNOW how it plays out, I would expect (Hope) that it would polarise the audience, but then I don't think I'm good enough to pull that off.
