It took three days to get it up...I originally had the "Interview" part in "Script" form...and it was rejected. I modified it, reduced it down...and it was rejected. I wrote more for the beginning and end...and it was rejected. I did a total re-write of the thing...and it got picked up!! FINALLY!

I do love a good Derpy/Doctor story, and a good Derpy-isn't-a-blithering-imbecile story.
Naturally, I loved this. Thank you for a most enjoyable exploit of best pony.
Oooh yeah, this was an incredible story. They thought they could milk her for something valuable, and she fed them something so ludicrous they could never use it without looking like a cheap tabloid.
Hm, noticed some inspirations from other Whooves fics, like Amethyst being saved from a volcano and adopted. Is good, is very good.

FanOfMostEverything, I see Derpy as a pony being victimized by her circumstances in the show; such as Derpy being stupid, retarded, etc., etc. (all of you probably have read the whole sordid story)...
She is my family's mascot...I have kids with autism, learning difficulties, etc. She was NEVER a pony that made fun of those challenges...she occurred through kismet, divine intervention, what have you. She happened because she was supposed to happen. Some stars are born, not made. And she has won through to the other side through perseverance, good humor, and determination...not to mention all of you. And that day during the airing of "Rainbow Falls", my ENTIRE group of Brony Meetup friends cheered, "DERPY!" when she came on camera.
Vindication is wonderful.
Mooncalf, I found a writer here; Paleo Prints. Whoever they are, they are a true wordsmith. I "got" the Lyra/ BonBon understanding and tolerance because of the writing in "Hearts Holding Hooves"...I want to be that good one day. Yeah, there's much fanservice, and shout outs to all sorts of writers here, and on more than a few sci-fi shows...but that's how we talk to each other IRL. Like, "I'll be back...", with the best Arnie voice you can do with your friends. When you write to those things, everyone "gets" it. The key in Derpy's mane is: are these ponies, as avatars for people, believable? Do you care about them? Do you take an interest in who they are, and what they do?
If I meet your expectations, and you say "yes" to those questions, I have done my job by all of you.

Not that I'm one to say...but for you, think of it like this.
Write to what your heart tells you to write. The views or score doesn't matter at all.
I know, we all THINK that's what we do, but we also spend an inordinate amount of time checking that little meter on the right...(guilty)...and we really shouldn't.
Write, and write, and write, and write. And when you think you're over it, write some more.
I thank the Powers That Be everyday for computers...in school, doing this by hand was SUCH a chore...now that the performance constraint has been removed, I have to think harder. It makes me better.

They're also meant to fit together somewhat. "Heart of the Dress" includes scenes with the intrepid Miss Doo and 'John Smith' as well, though its a Rarity story. "Two Mares Walk Into A Bar..." is referenced in "Derpy Meets The Doctor", but that one can be a little rough, especially with Celestia's drunken behavior...
Some of the others, like "Mare With No Name", "Relaxing on a Saturday Night", and "On Writing", are definite stand alones, though "Relaxing" will dovetail with my Fallout: Equestria work I'm writing now...
