This is great - the dialogue only thing works really well, and I 've always liked the idea of Silver Spoon reconciling with the CMC. There's always been this impression that she's the follower to Diamonds lead, and, well, people change as they grow. Ponies too.

All these stories just read the same to me. If this was AU, maybe I'd consider a like, but you could literally call this pony anything other than Silver Spoon and it'd be the same story.

It only really got interesting once the counselor started speaking from his experience, but again, it just felt too hollow and the focus of the fic just didn't sound at all like her show counterpart, how should I say? It all just felt empty.

Silver Spoon. I just don't see her in this story. :pinkiesad2:

Eh, if it isn't working for you, it isn't working, it's fine.

It was probably a mistake on my part to try writing this character when she's years older before I even attempted to write a story where she's at the age portrayed in-show. The idea was to show her as more matured with age, but if she's ringing false and hollow to you, I must not have done enough to make the progression work. Your statement of how the character could be swapped out for another and nothing would change is most telling of all of my shortcomings, and I find myself agreeing with it.

Thanks for reading anyway. That and your feedback is more than enough to satisfy me without a like, and I don't want you giving a like to something that really isn't doing it for you.:moustache:

I just had the mother of all "A-HA!" moments while reading this. Right when the Miss starts talking about how she was as a kid.... I won't say more because I know some people read the comments before the story to see what it's like before they read, but... Like, really, this was awesome.
