His first thought shouldve been tha it was Spike who joined them. The guy who's supposed to be their bother, who also helped save the fucking empire they're sitting in while they HAVE THAT CONVERSATION!!

Well, Spike's not a guest. If I went to my sister in law's house and her sister showed up and hung out with me, I might expect that to be so normal I wouldn't even make note of it.
