A mysterious meteor has struck Sweet Apple Acres, one of multiple spots all over Equestria. At first, everypony thought it was harmless. But then green crystals started growing from the crater, leeching all the minerals and nutrients from the soil.
And everypony that came near or touched it started mutating or dying. And the alien substance continued to grow and expand, and nothing seems able to stop it.
An unknown figure then emerges: a maneless red pony with a black mustache and goatee, and an equally mysterious cutie mark of a scorpion tail inside a triangle, known only as Kane. He says the new substance is the harbinger of a new age, and all ponies should embrace it (carefully, of course), under the Ponyhood of Nod, an ancient and secret organization.
The Princesses Celestia and Luna disagree, and the Equestria Defense Initiative (EDI) is founded, and prepares to stop the Ponyhood, as well as the alien substance, which is quickly growing out of control.
Equestria has just entered the Tiberium Era. The question is: will they survive it?

Yes, it originally was a pod like thing. And, until EA can explain how it changed, I still think the first version is the better on that the simple "crystal growing out of the ground" thing.

With all due respect, I'm enjoying this story so far and I really want to see how it plays out. You're writing skills are excellent, and you do a good job of incorporating Tiberium into the pony world.
Really man, I just posted my own C&C crossover and our stories look similar. Even the frickin' title! Anyways, I just want to say that I am NOT! REPEAT NOT, copying you. I honestly had NO idea that you existed.
I even ran a search on the site and couldn't find any C&C so I thought I was good....but NOPE!
I promise our stories will be different and I'm NOT mad at you. I have no right to be cause you were here first, but I'm just a little ticked at myself cause I couldn't find you sooner and call off my project.
However, I will continue to read this story and NOT steal ideas for it as my story will feature other things and have different elements than yours.
So to that I say, I will propose a C&C/MLP Alliance with you.

Second, has the enemies of the Equestrian nation started using Tiberium to take over the world? King Sombra already uses crystals in his attacks and could use his existing powers over crystals to use Tiberium as effective weapons. Also, I can see Lord Tirek, Queen Chrysalis, and the Storm King using Tiberium as weapons.
