Wow! This is actually really well done. I can't write this well, though I'm more of the horror type of writer.
Spacing could use some work. Try breaking up the text a bit, I kinda don't want to read it because of how taxing it is on my eyes.
Also dialogue could use a little more work, but that comes with time I suppose.
Also, do you have an editor? You could use one.

That bit on Daniel's flashbacks was kinda intense, but interesting to say the least. All in all, it was a great chapter! Keep it up man! 
It would be interesting if the monsters reappeared or something and he finally decided to fight against them, just my little idea, I love the story so far, you should do longer chapters though.

Yeah mine is a little different, I can say that it will take some shocking turns and I'm certainly going to kick it into high gear but I can't say much more without spoiling the story.

Simply put, a certain blind, love-sick yet broken hearted man who made an appearance in Justine may be making an appearance... and he may re-gain his vision... Not gonna' say who, but if you've paid close attention to Justine, you'll know who I'm talking about.
(PS: to answer your previous question I saw earlier, the note from Daniel is the letter he sent to people from Professor Herbert's Address book, you read it, you get an idea of how distressed poor Daniel was.)
