And Lauren Faust was inspired by John Kricfalusi's designs for My Little Ass a skit for Ren & Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon that was never made. And there is a lot of John Kricfalusi's influence in MLP FIM like the paint drop backgrounds that appear in every time a pony goes crazy especially when the household objects are talking to Pinkie Pie in Party Of One
