This was a nice story. It could have been longer, you might want to draw out some of the scenes, such as when Discord was crying. That part was way to short. Just practice more, and read more. You'll get better.

I really liked the story and agree some parts could have drawn out longer for the funny gags that could have been had with the Poison Joke. The story's still good either way.
My only complaint is your first paragraph. I find when a character does an action that pushes the story forward, it's a good idea to give the line it's own paragraph so it can stand out more.
Other than that, I loved the story. Here's an upvote and fav from me. Kudos!

Too short, very rushed...also, Discord wouldn't do something this blatant and overt now, even if they can't turn him back to stone anymore.
You might consider rewriting this so that Discord's plan is more subtle, the effects of the poison joke are more drawn out, we see more ponies reacting to it, there's ANY kind of tension whatsoever, and the solution isn't so anticlimactic.
