It's sad when a competently-written and imaginative story gets so few views. I don't know what it is. Is it really just that people need a picture before they'll read a story? Is it because the one-line summary doesn't promise a straightforward classic plot structure?

"When my caretakers talked, they told truths at me. They never told truths to each other." - Nice.
"Where they fearful of me?" => Were they fearful of me?
It was just a few thoughts before it became into something more useful. => It was just a few thoughts before it became something more useful.

Near the end I just wanted it to be over; it was too gruesome for me.

This is well-done for what it is, but writing about extremely emotionally disturbed people is taking the easy way out. Can you write a story about an ordinary person doing ordinary things that's interesting?

I'm not sure what I've read exactly but I'm more than certain I like it. A nice short story with an excellent twist and good storytelling. I don't think a dark short story can get any better than this.
