I write my stories....the same way rarity makes that dress

also a funny thought just crossed my mind. the dress is finished, and its for twilight. next day season three ending, Twilight gets wings. cant wear the dress.:raritycry::raritycry::raritycry:

Finally she could say that her dress was *story ends*

this better have been intentional, you genius

also
this is pretty much how I feel when I wrote stories :raritydespair:

It was intentional. The story's called Incomplete. I didn't want to use the word 'complete'.

Inspiration, you elusive, double-crossing bastard. :trixieshiftleft:

My god, man. This story hit way close to home, it just captures the feel of artistic block perfectly. Really well done.

3929190 It was damn good, regardless :rainbowkiss:

I'm glad you both enjoyed it.

Do you want to know how long I've been grappling with some of my ideas?

It's longer than a year, trust me :raritywink:

3936182 That's not a very realistic time-skip.

3936186

I personally disagree, but I can understand why it might seem like a long time.

Story is named 'incomplete'

Labeled 'Complete'

.................:rainbowderp:

I considered labeling is as 'incomplete' for artistic reasons, but I decided that it would get too confusing. The ending is already confusing enough as it is.

Anyone else find it funny that this story is titled incomplete even though the story status says that it's complete.

Wow. This made me think.

Thanks, Vexy.

Weekend was so hectic that I forgot to upvote/fave/comment this one, Tom. :applejackconfused:

Pinkie can be your fave, Dashie can be your most shipped, but I will always point and say how Rarity is your pony counterpart! :rainbowlaugh:

Huh, this one hit me (and I suspect many people who're trying to work on something creative) close to home -- but it only earned my like with it's familiar and apt portrayal, it earned my fave with dat ending.

This particular piece of pony literature,
Has captured my heart in various ways.
The relation of both in silent scripture,
Will stay with me throughout my days.

The feelings of emptiness and inspiration,
The under-handed bars we all set.
For works; painting and compositions,
Bars we all set and inside we regret.

Those bars lead to both greatness and disgrace,
All these different paths we walk and make.
We all travel with one another, place to place,
Subconsciously yet excitedly keeping the date.

We work our hours off, keeping time to ourselves,
Either standing up or taking our seats.
We may brush it off and leave it upon our shelves.
Yet to feel the fact that your work is...

Wow, thank you so much for the comment. :twilightblush:

This poem is awesome! I'm glad you liked the story so much. Honestly, I don't really know where it came from. I just decided to start typing out a story, and when I next looked, I had 3000 words staring back at me.

Considering how I struggle to find the words to express what I want to say under the usual circumstances, this was a most pleasant surprise for me.

I'm happy to see other people enjoying reading it as much as I did in writing it.

It was a wonderful read.:raritystarry:

This story feels... authentic. I can't seem to find more fitting words. It was a good read, but I felt a little sad for Rarity. :fluttershysad:

Great work. :ajsmug:

3936186 I have, in the past, gone over a year without making any progress on a story, while stubbornly refusing to altogether abandon the story. So the time skip rang true to me.

Unlike Rarity, though, I didn't have any sudden epiphany that helped me finish the story. I just forced myself to resume writing, and (slowly, gradually) the words eventually came more easily.

This is too real.

Um... wow. Just, wow. Thank you for this, man, just... thank you.
