This was a really sweet story. I do like how you made the menu include more than plants, although even with the barnyard animals donating themselves, it would seem to me their meat would be in rare supply. Then again, Applejack's farm always seems to have different critters every time we visit between episodes (no one seems to have a reason why the population has a high turnover rate).
And this guy, Anon, I like him. He's adjusted rather well to the new locale unlike this fellow that knew where he was and beat feet for the furthest town he could find. He chased Celestia out with a broom but Anon would probably give her a royal sized BLT. Yum!
Ponyville does carry a reputation as Chaos Central and bordering the Everfree doesn't help any.

I figured I'd drop in and say hello to everyone, and I'd like to thank you all for your comments and for reading my story.
And I'm incredibly pleased that the first thing I've posted here has gotten such a wonderful reception! Already on the featured list a few hours after posting, rapidly on my way to 1000 views and 200+ thumbs up!
So thank you, everyone! And there's a lot more where that came from. I'll be converting all of my greentext stories to prose and posting them here over the next while, and I've got plenty of new works percolating.

I'm really glad to be writing again, myself. RL got pretty hectic for a while there. Still, things are stable enough now that I can focus on my hobby like I used to.

As Bolding said, RL equines are opportunistic omnivores. Furthermore, we've seen some canon evidence that meat and other animal products are consumed in Equestria.
Still, I understand that headcanon and personal preferences are what they are.
As for the "antibiotics for a virus" bit, I meant it more as a common name for a bacterial infection. Much like here on Earth, I imagine Equestrians would apply convenient labels to certain diseases, even though they might not be entirely correct.

Pinned eyes are a side effect of opioid medications. It's the opposite of dilated eyes (where pupil size increases, the "black" part of the eye becoming more prominent) and would result in Redheart's pupils being smaller and her irises larger. Her beautiful sapphire irises would become even more blue.
