The upcoming weekend was going to be hard enough for Mike Hengst, what with having to take his wife to a meeting of regional senior officers for the U.S. Navy. The problem isn't so much having to go to the meeting, but that his wife; DJ Martinez, is a pony, and the man in charge of the officer's meeting hates ponies.
But thanks to a magical artifact provided by DJ's aunt; one Twilight Sparkle, which allows the user to temporarily assume a human form, everything should work out, right?
Not when the artifact malfunctions and makes Mike into a pony himself. With his entire world flipped on its head, Mike must now survive the weekend in his wife's place as a pony among humans. And there's no guarantee the change is temporary this time.

It was a long while back when this was still part of Shin's main 'Be Human' sidestory collection. The edit you're talking about probably was originally made, but to the copy on Fimfic itself, whereas my re-upload as a stand-alone was from the original GDoc. I'll fix it after my classes today, so thanks for reminding me!
This was one of the best one shots I've read on this site so far. You took the tone of this from funny, to compelling, to downright awesome at the end!! This is an amazing fic!
