I really enjoyed reading this first chapter, and am looking forward to many more. Keep up the good work. Favorite, like, and follow

Thanks bro. I currently am at a crossroads of possible narrative, and am trying to decide on which path to take.

Groaning, I picked up my fedora.

Stopped reading right there, 2euphoric4me.

I'm sure you'll figure it out, but if you'd like to throw some ideas off a wall I'd be happy to give an honest opinion. I am a loyal follower, just ask Shadowhawk :raritywink:

The fedora is the attire of the neckbeard, the true face of autism and spaghetti. Stories that feature them unironically make me want to commit sudoku.

3823428
I can personally promise you no neck beards will be present. The MC has a very strict policy of maintaining a sharp goatee. I personally find neck beards disgusting.

I picked a fedora, intending to mean a 1920's style, not the trilby's that populate most of creation nowadays in the fancy hat population.

Seems like a good one, yep I'll wait and see how this progress. I like the being a really smart guy who can't talk anymore part the most, had me laughing for a bit.

I hope this isn't one of those where everypony 'freaks out over the human in the suit' story's. I am hoping for some conflict though.

Here's to good story! (I hope)

Edit: god what happened to my grammar? Its gone to piss!

3823544
Fear not good sir/madam! I was not very good at grammar to begin with.

We're all illiterate here.:pinkiecrazy:

i can't really picture a gentleman that goes around with a knife or gun in his pocket.

although i'll fave this for now, since i'm intrested in where you're going with this.

Another Your Human and You story? I don't understand why people admire this universe so much other than the concept. The original story isn't that great. Perhaps you'll improve on it? :unsuresweetie:

I want to see a fic where the human actively tries to prove he's intelligent and has a pony immediately recognize that.

3826406 Good point, it's just that it's starting to get a little bit predictable and boring. But if you can change that, then I'm interested.

Well, I certainly enjoyed that. Carry on good sir!

3826406

Ahh, but that wouldn't be as funny, now would it?

Maybe, but at least there would be less Idiot Ball involved.

3826470
There is still a chance of that. He is dealing with a child at the moment.

I want more! Why is there not already more? WRITE MORE!!!

Ahem... I mean... good work. Keep it going :twilightblush:

It appears you have fallen in amongst a bunch of yahoos.

val

Thanks for sacrificing your undoubtedly valuable time reading my fic.

hahahhahahah I almost never have anything to do

"Naturally my first though was Oh, fuck. Did I rape this girl?. "

Naturally ?! Does he rape a lot of people then for this to be his first thought?

Sherlock Holmes (in the original novels, not the remakes) commonly carried a Webley Bulldog.

Nowadays the term “gentleman” is apt to conjure up the ridiculous image of an affected, pretentious, overdressed fop—complete with a monocle, top hat, and thick mustache—scrambling to secure a better place among the high society through the use of social and political manipulation. Yet, contrary to what you and many today may believe, throughout the 17th to 20th centuries the character of the "true gentleman" was regarded as being synonymous with that of the truly ideal man, embodying “heroic bodily strength and mental firmness,” and typically including “whatever was valuable in the cavalier and the chivalrous knight,”—simply put, a man with the strength of proper manhood. As such, "gentlemen" were practically expected to commonly know how to fight in self-defense and carry concealed weapons—the "gentleman spy" concept James Bond embodies actually evolved from that very expectation of a gentleman, rather than being an exception to it.

Several martial arts—such as canne de combat, savate, or the famous bartitsu immortalized by the Sherlock Holmes stories—and several types of weapons—such as various pocket pistols like the Philadelphia Deringer palm pistol (one was used to assassinate Lincoln) and FN Baby Browning (the pistol of choice of the French Resistance Movement), various batons like the shillelagh and "life-preserver," and even swords or guns concealed within a fashionable cane—were specifically developed around these times by gentlemen for gentleman's self-defense.

More along the lines of 'I was drunk and not in control of my own actions, thus I assume the worst possible outcomes'.

and accounting for the moderate climate I walked in a random direction and kept going.

:facehoof:

If this is going where I think it is based off of the description, I like it already!

I like my pants, and no pony will take them from me.

Liked and favorited. I'll read it in a second.
Edit: Well that was a good read.

Not bad. I'm curious, will you work to preserve the canon of YHaY by avoiding the Mane six and Max or will this be alternate universe to it? Since it is obvious you intend this to go to Ponyville.

I will say I rather prefer this character to the aggressive stupidity Max showed in the first 8 chapters of YHaY.

3831496
I'm not sure yet. I'll try to keep the mane six away for the next chapter while I decide. I was going for AU from YHAY canon, but the possibility for crossing paths should still be viable, if unlikely.

Aru

Well this was nice. And I'm pretty sure our fella is not going to play dumb animal but instead he go full "I'm sapient mothafuckas" .

3833518
Makes "the gentleman" seem like more of a legitimate badass in retrospect, doesn't it?

Well that was.....something. Hope to read more soonish. Or laterish. Whichever ends up being better/
