You could just say it was sealed steel case, encased steel is'nt a material. The way its wrote makes it sound like encased steel is a type of steel thats all...

In other news, not to diss your story: the half-life of Uranium is about 4.5 billion years, so, if it's only been two thousand or so years, I'm going to assume that there is at least some uranium powder (From the Russian missile), and therefore radioactivity, remaining, meaning that he should be fucking dying of radiation poisoning, but I'm not going to argue or nit-pick, plot hole aside you sir, are pretty damn good at writing. You sucked me in, and had me going until the end.

5858952 Theres about 30 /40 if I remember correctly I wrote 2 years back im in the process of re-writing them; and so far ive written about 10 chapters so far but about 5/6 aren't revised yet. so releasing these 1 week at a time will give me and my editor a breathing space to work on em and make sure they are perfect for reading.

5901795 I did that purely because there wasn't much in the way of food around him, he would have most likely starved from lack of food and water. There is a stream but being him he determined it wasn't worth getting the s***s from tainted water. It was more of a decision which he could feasibly do. Thanks for the comment!
5901840 well yeah, but BT for the USMC would have taught him survival in the wild, possibly if he took SERE, which is Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape, I forgot where I was going with this, but still, he should have the skills and tools to survive in the wild for at least a few weeks.
