Top Gear viewers are in for a treat. As you may or may not know, whether you're a car fanatic or not, Top Gear is a popular TV show in which our three fairly old, yet whimsical, hosts talk about... that's right, you guessed it. Cars! From Lamborghini to Mazda, celebrities to comedians, what hasn't Top Gear seen?

You guessed it again! An alicorn princess of the night!

This idea came to me in the most straightforward way you can think about. I was watching Top Gear and wondered...

"What if a pony got to be a guest in Top Gear?.."

Then, this happened.

Chapters (1)
Comments ( 75 )

Some say that she can't stand being stationary, and that she once broke the speed of sound under her own power... All we know is, she's NOT the STIG, but she is the STIG's Equestrian cousin!:rainbowdetermined2:

This was just epic

3790708 shush, they'll figure out luna is the stig!

...wait, crap

3790728 Please, everyone knows that the Stig's Equestrian cousin is Rainbow Dash.:rainbowlaugh:

Some say that she has afterburners hidden in her backside, and that she like Brussel sprouts.

All we know is that she's

Princess Luna

It might be a one-shot, but I want more. Ponies on Top Gear should have its own group...

Hehe

Cute! Loving how she didn't even use magic, controlling the steering wheel and grear shifter with just her hooves.

There is a very small top gear group, I recommend you submit this to it. Very good indeed by the way

Someone did this .... A applaud you sir... Good ....

Now I've seen everything. Epic.

Loved it. Except for one minor thing - who be these 'federals' Clarkson refers to?
Police? We have those. Military? Definitely have those. Spooks? Well, I've never actually _seen_ one, but they have a website, so we probably have those too. But 'federal' people? No, none of them.

This is just one of the funniest fics... (Clarkson's voice:) in the world!

Just... yes.:rainbowkiss:

lol , nice. That was a nice little one shot. so for some reason, I was expecting Luna to either burn out the clutch or start swearing like a sailor when she Got to the Hammerhead.

This was great. I watch Top Gear alot, and suddently this fiction. awesomeness.

This. More of it. Begging.

3790910 I'd say he was leaning more towards the "joke" side when he said that. Afterall, how would you react to such a situation? :derpytongue2:

3792060 Soon as I thought of it, I wrote at the speed of light bro. AND THEN IT GOT ON THE POPULAR BOX!! Best. Thing. To wake up to. Evurrr. (Did it featured? I was asleep xD)

3791656 Maybe!

3791107 As do I, my friend. :ajsmug:

3790948 I'm a racing sim fanatic, and when I played Forza 4 with my racing wheel set, the hammerhead on the top gear track ALWAYS stole the most time out of my laps man. So this is from experience. I did curse like a sailor :rainbowlaugh:

3790840 Omg. Wade.

I. Love. Your story. :rainbowkiss:

3790924 OMG. AND YOU TOO?

This is the best day of the year. Hands down.

I love your stories. :rainbowkiss:

:trixieshiftright:
What I was trying to point out was that you had an English character make a purely American reference.
There are no 'feds' in the UK, and a Brit, on a British show, in Britain, and performing primarily for a British audience, wouldn't really refer to them.
Yes, I get what you mean, and yes the joke is still funny regardless, which is why it was only a minor thing, but still.

3792310 Y'know, oddly enough I can remember Jeremy referring to the "Feds" in one episode. Which one though?

Pft. No idea. But the memory alone of remembering him saying that was enough for me to put it in the story. I wasn't aware that brit didn't have feds though. :rainbowhuh:

Huh... you learn something new everyday.

I could totally see this happening.

Good news! The Dacia Sandero is on my street! (Say it in James May's voice for best effect.)

Sorry, I had to mention it after I saw it out there.

Some say that her magic causes hallucinations. And that princess in her world is a teenage student in our world.

All we know is, she's called Luna!

3795515 Honestly, I'm loving every bit of these that are being posted in the comments :rainbowlaugh:

I don't know how I didn't see these kind of comments coming. I love them regardless. :yay:

Wow just wow. now with a combination of Kitten on my lap and this i think i aint getting up this mornin.

Really dull delivery--you don't need to mark every single line of dialogue with an obvious action. It reads more like a script than an actual story. You didn't get Clarkson's nor Luna's voice right.

I going to have to downvote; I like Top Gear and MLP and I found it more bland than funny.

I have to be honest, this is only good because it's Top Gear, which I worship vehemently. But you got your characters wrong, the delivery was very bland, nothing happened in the interview and the lap was cut short. This felt like an episode of Top Gear off Dave, where they cut out parts of it so they can have advertisement breaks.
Great concept, bad execution.
And with that, I'ma rewatch the Botswana Special.

What a delightful story for something you did just for fun. It really doesn't matter in this case if it is particular good or covers all its bases as long as you enjoyed it yourself. The only saving grace that makes this story so popular among stories of the same quality is its unusual premise.

Remember kids, an interesting topic can make up for poor writing and good writing can make up for a bland topic.:ajsmug:

3797365 Writing was never a strong part of me :rainbowlaugh:

Fact, I failed almost all my language arts classes in grammar school, and was still pretty horrid at late middle school/early high school. Wasn't until about a year ago that I decided to step it up a tiny bit. Tiny is an understatement actually. I've improved tenfold to be honest, but I still have a long way. I'll stick to racing as I have quite the nack for it :ajsmug:

Or was it 2 years ago?..

Time has been flying so fast that I can't even tell. :applejackconfused:

Your points are well recieved my friends. I'm no aspiring writer, nor was I ever good at it, and in complete honesty, I don't care.

If I'm doomed to be a mediocre writer at best, well... I saw it coming all along anyway!

A very literal Star in a reasonably priced car.

this was hilarious, great job

Great idea, I really enjoyed it. ;) This is exactly how Top Gear episode with Luna would look like. ;D

this makes me want to write 'Stig in Equestria'

I've never seen Top Gear, so you can guess that I just liked it for what happened, and not for any "OoC-ness".

3798871 Go for it :rainbowlaugh:

3798913 Sweet! :yay:

3798871 DO IT! DO IT NOW! NOW I SAID! WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS?

3798996
3799622

...If he doesn't, I will. :ajsmug:

3799658 IT WILL BE AWSOME!!!:rainbowdetermined2:

No, you know what was truly brilliant? this story!

Why isn't there more of this?!

3800326 Well, I'll be more than happy to pioneer more of these oddities into the site? :trollestia:

HOLY SHIT!!! SO AWESOME!!! Sir, you more then deserve a favorite!:rainbowderp::pinkiegasp::derpyderp1:

3800773 Whoa! Glad it made you jizz in your pants! :rainbowlaugh: :trollestia:

3801773 Dat Fluttershy :pinkiesad2: ...
