Actually, that reminds me of a theory of mine: that the armor of the guards are enchanted to make them all look and sound like tough stallions, but in truth, most of them are female. But, stallions give off a stronger presence of strength and protection than females, and it was reluctantly agreed to have the armor enchanted to make them all look like stallions. Plus, by having them all look like stallions, it better reinforces into their minds the idea of unification through a common pattern in the appearance of the guards.
