Grazy Polomare

My Little Puny: A Play on Words

E

Suri Polomare's been given a diary to record her thoughts of life in Manehattan. Her dreams and aspirations. The fundamental qualities needed in a fashion designer.

These are her stories.

Has no relation what's so ever to whatever you may think it has relation too, 'kay?

This story is brilliant! Hope it gets more views (apparently, there are zero so far), Not only have you given a mildly bland character some personality, but it works and fits flawlessly in place with how Suri is portrayed in the show. This diary is now temporary headcanon.

Yikes. I knew Suri was rotten, but never did I think that she was a complete sociopath. :twilightoops:

But even with this extreme direction, it's still kinda believable. The magic of friendship is the cornerstone of Equestria, but it can't really reach you if you're physically unable to properly empathize with other ponies. This story didn't exactly make me sympathize with Suri (which probably wasn't what you were going for, anyway), but it did make me pity her a little. Just a little, though. She brought most of this upon herself, even if her precious ego makes her refuse to realize it. :duck:

It might need a Dark tag, taking the ending into account, but overall, this is a very interesting character study. Maybe that wasn't your intention, but I like it. And of course, it was humorous to see Suri's point of view of that episode.

Gosh! She only kicked that kitten twice, guys! Give her a break!

Brilliant XD. You can't quite help but empathize with Suri while reading this. I think sometimes authors are tempted to turn the lives of the show's antagonists into sudden, unprecedented sob stories, bending over backwards in a contrived attempt to make us pity and love them. Yet Suri's diary remained earnest throughout. It was true to her character (the scissors incident was oddly believable. Predictably, Suri Polomare does only dislike getting effed over, she does not ACCEPT it), funny, and yet strangely touching. You had my thumbs up from the first couple of paragraphs.

Have a nice day, m'kay? :twilightblush:

The portrayal is a bit extreme. Yes, she cheated and whatever, but the show presented her as a smart villain. I don't think she's crazy or would attack anyone.

Probably is screwed in Manehattan for now.

I don't know, I think it fits with Suri's personality.

She's believed in this whole every-mare-for-herself so that she really does have next to no friends. Her diary, as she says, is her true friend. I wasn't going for some murderous intent. More of unhinged. Even smart villains sometimes lose their cool. As Suri pointed out, she had a fool-proof plan that got ruined. In her eyes, she played her cards correctly and got cheated out of a "fair" victory (whatever that means to her). Also, there's a chance she probably over exaggerated several details, 'kay?

But if you put somepony in that position, even a smart villain, it's natural to lose your cool once in a while. As it states early in the diary, it was given to her to manage that temper. Notice how at certain points in the show she yells out at Coco to get her coffee, instead of just stating it in some calm, collective manner. She only acts calm when things are going her way. When they aren't she seems to lose it a bit. We never saw her reaction to losing, only her reaction when things were going her way.

So I don't know, I just wouldn't take it too harshly or far fetched for her to experience a mental breakdown at the height of her career. Rarity certainly demonstrated something similar with her friends.

As for her reputation in Manehattan, well...they're bound to forget, right?

Finally, somepony understands.

Thank you, although I think it was a puppy.

Whatever, have a nice day too, 'kay?

Hilarious and true to the episode. It's great.

You take care now, okay?

Hurrah!!!:yay: More Suri love!:pinkiehappy::heart:

Also....I'm curious why somepony, such as yourself, would change their name, to any pony's, but in this instance, Suri's?:rainbowderp:
For the mare?
The anarchy?
Or something else?

3745691

For the secret fourth option, 'kay?

And Suri does needs more love!

3745515

Thanks!

Ummm...stay enduring...I guess...okay.

3746121 She deserves all the love!:heart::heart::heart:

What is the reason? Do you change your name often?

3747824

Do I change my name often?

Hmmm...not really no.

She could be Diamond Tiara's mom... :pinkiegasp:

I like Suri because of her cynicism when she say that its everyone for themselves in the big city...it makes me wonder if something like what she tried to do to Rarity had happened to her in the past-so I do feel sorry for her because I know what that's like.

Great job.

Suri-Ously, keep up the good work 'kay?

Yeah....figures. Just watch Flim and Flam are gonna make thing even worse.

Huh, and here I assumed Enchanted Comics came from the same shop as the Alicorn Amulet.

Cocky to the end. Nice story, loved the humor.

That Shining Armor would look good in a Polomare chestplate if you know what I mean.

Ew, he's married.

I agree it's the most logical answer for her mentality, and she even hints at it in one of her lines.

Does this take place before or after the disaster? Ironically it fits either way.

And yet, ponies still give me an off look when I tell them how much I love Suri. The mental ones of the herd need need love too.

I think I know why there's no dislikes to this story so far...
